If there are 3 spades on the board then there are 10 left. Therefore there are C(10,2) ways villain can have spades. This is 10*9/2 = 5*9 = 45

10 ways to choose the first club, times 9 ways to choose the second club, then divide by 2 so you don't count each one twice for the 2 possible orderings.
