General question about EV General question about EV

Hello! Let's say villain bets the turn and we calculate the EV for a call considering his range and our equity and the result is that a call is positive.

For example, villain bets a potsized bet. We know he has 2 hands in his range: One against which we have 100% equity and one against which we have 0% equity. So since we are getting 2:1 our call would always be positive

Now we do not know what villain will do on the river. We assume he will never continue his bluff and therefore we would always have to fold a to a bet on the river, assuming that if he bets the river, we are beat a 100% of times.

My question now is, IF we are wrong about our assumption of villains river-play and he bluffs the river sometimes but we always fold, will that take away from the EV that we've gained by calling the turn?

Or in other words: IF we make an EV calculation for a turn-call and the call is minimally positive, for lets say + 0.001. Is that ultimately the EV we win by making the turn-call or is there a chance it becomes negative on/after the river?

You can't calculate the EV of calling the turn in a vacuum. Any calculation of EV has to take into account the future streets. Your mistake is making the calculation on the turn too simplistic.
