Stud hand definitely seems worse than that.

Thanks for your reply but...

How does 2 outs = 33.12% equity? I'm no omaha expert but that's extremely hard to fathom

I think it was something to do with the third diamond on the flop or the random non diamond cards in the hands. If you narrow it down to Q9ddxx needing to hit the K or 8, it drops down to ~8%.

Re: Which beat is worse? (Stud8 vs PLO)

the way you simulated it allows the *d on the flop to also be Kd or 8d, meaning there's a 2 out of 7 chance he's already flopped the SF

here's a simulation assuming he hasn't already flopped it:

600,000 trials (Randomized)
board: j t 5
Hand Pot equity Wins Ties

Re: Which beat is worse? (Stud8 vs PLO)

Still don't like the omaha answer. I assume when side cards are known and not listed that they 1) aren't the Kd or 8d 2) didn't pair the board 3) didn't pair in hand. Given that, it's a pure 2 outer twice with 41 cards left, which is easy by hand or just
