I have a trait, when I don't feel good about a bet or raise I am making, or if I am calling light, my nose itches, and I have a strong tendency to touch my nose or face. This isn't the same as putting hour face in your hands or covering your face, but more scratching or rubbing your nose. Anyone else notice this?

I've never played with you, so no ...

It is very common for someone who is uncomfortable to touch their face/hair area so you are not alone!!

Another good one is the clasping/re-clasping of hands. GL

I look at hands a lot more, especially how hands are placed over cards or the rate of chips being touched or shuffling...chewing gum also shows some of this, but most regulars are smart enough to not chew that at the table.

I purposely mix up my chip shuffle and methods as reverse tells. I also put chips into the pot differently. Had a guy tell me that when I splash chips I'm bluffing and when I stack and push I have it ... Glad my methods are being noticed!!

thats a pacifying behavior and most of us have some kind of variation of it. it is something that we do instinctively but i believe when we are conscious of it, it is not too hard to mask or eliminate. try to pay attention to what type of scenario you're in the next time it happens, and think about the hand afterwards (immediately after is good if it's not a distraction). what made you feel uncomfortable/lack of confidence? for me i found it was big necessary bluffs because i was faced with the possibility of losing large amounts of money (and who likes losing money?) and then having to turn over my hand for everyone to see. i simply "proved" to myself that these moves were just necessary parts of my whole game and that the run of the cards shouldnt dictate how well i handle them, and tried to focus on that the next time a tough spot came up instead of "holy crap i missed my flush draw, time to rub my thigh"
