Hand in NVG that was posted today was kind of interesting: a $25-50 NLHE game featuring Hellmuth and Jason Calacanis. Here's the thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29...-goat-1586710/

Here's the hand, at 46:00 - http://www.twitch.tv/pokernighttv/v/38795738?t=45m58s

I found Jason's behavior interesting and likely to be a reliable tell. Hellmuth bets, a guy calls, and Jason (who has KdQd for top pair and flush draw) has some hesitating/uncertain behavior before shoving. He puts chips together, as if ready to call/raise, then goes back to a 'thinking' pose. He also gets the stretched-out lips behavior for a moment that we were talking about here, as if concerned about the situation, before eventually shoving.

I predict that if Calacanis had just a flush draw, and considering how short he is, I think we'd see him shove fairly normally here. It'd probably be fairly quick, but at the very least I think it's unlikely he'd show this hesitating/uncertain behavior with weak hands or draws.

My most recent video I worked on for my poker tell series was about hesitations/pauses before significant bets/raises. You can watch a sample from that video here: .

Calcanis also is lively and bright in his speaking and uses the fingers clasped together, he looks so strong in that vid

Here's a little flashback to a hand from The Big Game where Calacanis had the nuts vs Negreanu:

Yes, I've seen this from quite a few players .. The 'Oh well, I'm all in' with facial expression. I even do it since people fall for it anyway.

It was interesting that during the Hellmuth hand he was using the type of 'opposite' verbiage that I see quite often. He mentioned folding 3 or 4 times. This usually means 'please call' when the V is talking.

In the DNegs hand he was talking about how bad a player he is and referencing earlier plays that he made that were non-standard. Trying to get DNegs to 'remember' those moments to add to the calling itch that DNegs has in him. You will also notice that he immediately went into 'opposite' mode and stopped talking when DNegs brought it up ... but he went back to it when he thought he lost his caller. I think the talking somewhat prevented DNegs from evaluating all the hands he may have and it finally pushed him over the edge into a call. GL
