at 18:00 or so the amateur, Terry Myers, fills up on the river and does something bright; he value bets his boat. then he does something stupid and responds to the guy with the flush when he asks him if he has pocket jacks. there are two tells given off during his response maybe if Gabriel had picked them up he wouldn't have made the crying call. any guesses as to what they are?
Did you see where he slid a 10 out of his sleeve while the other players were looking at the waitress? It's very subtle and almost off-camera, but I think it's a significant sign of strength.
1) When he bet out on the Flop .. He was 'fine' with the bet. Stacked chips and slid them out. Other players just flipped/tossed in chips ... draws.
1A) On Turn, he is no longer comfortable with betting, but he does anyway .. with a toss. Now the other player (quickly) stacks chips and pushes his raise out (comfortable bet). Our Hero hems and haws and tosses chips out for a call (weak).
1B) River ... Now the reverse tell .. A very quick 'over' toss of the bet. Could mean disgust, but I saw (knowingly of course) it as a reverse tell.
2) He wouldn't look at V when answering the JJ question .. Didn't want him to see him reacting. I think he would've stared at him if he did have JJ. V mistake here is calling out the hand, not just asking if he had a boat IMO.
3) I think his face was definitely strained on Turn and relaxed on Flop and River which to me meant comfort.
4) You could talk about drinking on the River, but he was also drinking on the Turn .. could just mean he was nervous to be in a big pot.
I will watch more of the clip to gauge any history from him. GL
He's pretty happy to state, "I wish I had pocket jacks *laughs*." His excitement of the FH shows a bit.
the happiness and excitement were the first tell. the second tell was the fact that he said 'i wish i had pocket jacks'. he's claiming he has a weak hand. acting weak, means you are strong.
