Since Doug set the Twitch Poker record during the tail end of WCOOP 2016, it feels as though Twitch Poker has generally been dying a slow death.

Now the big-hitters are back in action and ready to compete.

1st Sunday viewing figures, at time of posting:

Assume Tonka & Carver will join in at some point.

Who will be next to etch their name into Twitch history?

Excitable bunch, aren't you.

Day 2 prime-time viewership spread:

Might want to mention the fact Doug Polk is second only because Tonkaaap hosted him for like 2K+ viewers.

By the numbers:

1.JCarver
2.Lex Velduis
3.Jaime Staples
4.Tonkaaap
5.Doug Polk

It can certainly change depending who goes deep but this is the average viewership rankings. I'm a Twitch junkie so I know the real numbers. I've come to enjoy Lex Veldhuis' stream a lot. I only had vague recollection of who he was from the Ivey 52o bluff on HSP. I knew he dated the gorgeous Evelyn NG too. The guy is going to take sole command of second spot soon. Streams like a beast and is hungry for it.

Can't help but laugh at Doug Polk's stream. Says he's going to offer 5% SCOOP winnings so if he binks (no pun intended) the 25K high roller for say a milly, then he's giving away 50K just like that... Kind of skeptical and I bet you the 5 percent is capped at like 5-10G's. Also cringe with the 1337 bets and the obvious all in bluffs that everyone and their mother knows is a bluff. He got called by K high on a dry board to bust out of a tournament. Just a terrible spot to be bluffing imo.

Don't know what to say about Tonkaaap. Streaming is seriously starting to take a toll on him. Seems it's almost a chore for him to stream and he try his best to avoid long ass streams. Don't blame him but the way things are going might only see him stream short 3-4 hr sessions (save for a deep run) 1-2 days a week. Obviously, he prefers playing off stream which he does if he only has a couple tournies left and he's not particularly deep in any one of them.

No need to take p0kercasual seriously. He got 1 place right in that top 5.

Doug has temporarily abandoned Twitch for YouTube live and currently has 11k viewers for the $25k.

To be fair to our friend with the crush on Doug, the story so far seems to be that the viewership Lex has been quietly building in the absence of the other streamers is turning out for him in big numbers during SCOOP. Currently has more viewers than Staples & Tonka combined.

because Lex is better player than those two combined and a poker celebrity + funny guy, and has a huge following from the EU, because he regularly streams from 11 am central european time.

A sleepy JCarver currently streaming Day 2 of SCOOP-30-M $215 Sunday WU.

35/48 $120k up top.

It's fine if you don't like Doug, but to suggest he wouldn't pay up on 5% of winnings if he hit a big score is a pretty baseless claim with zero merit.

You like Lex, we get it. Just because you have a favourite streamer doesn't mean everyone else sucks. If there was an actual complaint with Doug, it's that he rarely ever streams. He built it up like it was going to be a regular thing. He's been doing the bankroll challenge nearing on a year and is on day 35 or something.... I don't quite get the people that sub to watch him stream twice a month tbh.

I know this stream isn't as big with the big hitters live, but I like Jeff Gross' stream from Cabo. Poker Flow Show all day. He's been streaming later than the others which is nice. I've been watching Lex for awhile, and he totally deserves his success. Very entertaining stream and he streams in the morning for a lot of people. Blow Friday is one of my favorite streams every week.

Also been enjoying Jaime's grind, hopefully he can win his Ultimate Sweat bet with Matty Ice! His Vlogs have been getting better and better every week. It's nice to see JCarver come on, even though his streams aren't as long as they used to be. All in all, I don't think Twitch Poker is on the downswing, especially with streams of live events!

It appears I have been caught red handed.

I was planning on giving out MAYBE 10k, if I won a million perhaps 15k but I would have to check out my debt is before the payout. It is embarrassing for me to have to say the truth in this fashion, but unfortunately that is my burden to bare.

Disregard him Doug, he's a troll.

Lex is great at games, a true competitor and a great poker player. I just wish he could present poker in a positive manner to the world. If someone in chat is bothering him, just click the ban button, or as anyone can do, just block them. Nobody has to read anything from someone they don't like.

But when he starts screaming at people in chat that they should kill themselves --- there's something wrong with Lex.

I really enjoyed when Doug brought this post up after he shipped 270k. No cap on 5% of winnings, and that number is going to be around 10k. So congrats on being a fool PokerCasual

haha, well played.

Jeff Gross is currently 5/22 in the 1k 5 mill GTD. Hes streaming it with hole cards covered. I wasnt a big Jeff Gross fan before seeing how excited he is to be this far. Dude almost had a heart attack after his aces beat 9's to double up about 10 minutes ago. Pretty sure id be acting the exact same way.

Best of luck to him.

Jeff Gross is the man. Constantly doing giveaways and freerolls and always keeps it exciting during his deep runs. And it's been pretty awesome to have Rast randomly screaming in the background and occasionally talk about some hands Jeff misplayed.

I used to have the exact same things years ago - unmoderated chat, result: it became extremely toxic and negative.

Since I added some chat rules, and told my mods to actively handle things, my chat experience has been so much better. I used to tilt a lot when people in chat were celebrating losses or bad beats, these days I'm much more happy and positive and a good advocate for the game of poker.

Lex is still relatively new on Twitch, please don't blame him but you should give him the advice he needs to keep his chat awesome (most of the time it is, just when the trolls get out of hand I have to leave).
