I try to like this guy but his cocky attitude annoys me. He thinks he is a god when literally all he does is shove all in preflop rather he has 5bb or 35bb. Never plays postflop and thinks he is a god.

I really hope he is just a masterful troll.

But... all of that is WHY he is funny.

If it makes you feel any better, at least part of it is trolling.

Love the notes he makes. Someone makes a bluff : bluffs everytime. No bet sizes no board texture no nothing. And he never reads them. Oh and yesterday double barreled some guy that folds and makes a note : just takes two barrels to get him of the hand. Screaming SEE SEE.

Have to mention one classic moldran moment. Flats sb open with some random Qx hand. Flop comes KQx and says going to potctrl now. Ends up spewing his stack drawing allmost dead on the first level of the tournament he can't afford to play anyways.

Pretty lol not enough viewers with 1k+ average. Only Jcarver and staples averages more. Hell rupert averages something like 500 and hes a beast.

His main points were that his poker audience doesn't support him enough to be able to live off streaming, which is his goal, and that the attitude in the twitch chat is too negative when he streams poker. He said his number of donations and subs are much lower when streaming poker as opposed to games.
It's a real shame but understandable.

I do think it's weird he repeatedly said he doesn''t really have the personality to be an entertaining poker streamer; his personality and reactions are the reason he became so in the first place and in my view he's been the most entertaining poker streamer so far.

I said I don't have the personality/knowledge to be a >successful< poker streamer. If you want to stream full-time, you have to earn some money with the streaming.

The reason I have/had viewers is because of my gaming/Twitch history, I have 70k followers and of course many of them watch me for anything I do, including poker.

For poker, people didn't come to my stream because they genuinely enjoy it, they came to make fun about me or laugh about losing days etc. No one of the poker viewers ever donated to my stream, or subscribed to it (all the subscribers are from gaming).

Why do so many people subscribe to other streamers, like JCarver or Staples? Because people GENUINELY enjoy their streams/are being entertained by them, because they feel like they learn a lot in terms of strategy and they want to support them so they can keep streaming full-time. People become fans of them, interact with them on social media, follow them etc.

For me? People don't even follow my stream, they just watch sometimes and laugh. But most will never follow, and even more will never support the stream endeavor.

It's definitely possible to make a living with streaming poker, for example Staples mentioned he got more from Twitch this year than from poker winnings (which is a big number as a well-earning poker pro). If you check his donations listed on his page, his smallest donation is already multiple times bigger than the biggest I have ever received with Poker, and he has 300 times more monthly subscribers from Poker than me (600 vs 2).

I actually earned more from Poker winnings this month than from streaming, which is pretty sad considering I'm a recreational player and I only play 2 tables while I stream.

My poker stream went in the wrong direction since day 1, there has been much more negativity than positive reactions/support. You might not even notice it, because you are either part of it or because the messages get timed out, but chat is constantly spammed with:

* "Omfg where is [Jcarver/Staples], I can't watch this **** anymore!
* This is the worst poker stream I've ever seen, don't know how anyone would sub/donate to this at all.
* Play some 6-max $1000 hypers again to win the losses back.
* [Insert any all-in situation here]: "Worst play."

Not even gonna mention that 99 % of the PMs I received were hate/telling me to kill myself or stop streaming poker.

I would make more money playing off-line 8-tabling some low-stakes SnGs/MTTs, but I love my stream and that's why I went back to gaming (will still stream poker occasionally, maybe once every 2 months).

Thats true moldran, BUT it is also very entertaining to watch you when you win, DISH DISH 100% etc. Me personally I enjoy both, even thought i know when you lose its not good for you.
Those messages that you were receiving were from poker players haters usually. There is many sad people in poker communities because they play the game for a long time and dont achieve much or anything, and when they see you that you got so many viewers they hate you of course, thats natural, they got hate and unhappines in themselves and have need to express it somewhere. You should totally ignore those.

Anyway, good luck on your journey my friend, all the best!

I know for a fact this isn't true. The number may be small (way too small, most likely) but it isn't zero.

Only the last two are common.
That thing about the PMs is horrible, and I'd like to think it's just the internet being the internet, but if it's only from poker viewers then that's just sad.

Again, I totally understand your decision and am sad it didn't work out, there's just some things you said I didn't agree with.

That really sucks. Yeah you are pretty bad and dellusional (or just trolling) but that's just stupid to say something like that. If you don't like it just don't watch it. That simple.

GL with the gaming. And if you someday decide to stream poker again then try being little a bit less cocky. I think most of the hate comes from that. I'm the hu specialist, outplaying everybody, marking people instantly fish etc. Even if you are winning player (of the stream) in ss mtts you aint that good bro.

And one question is he any good in videogames?

Well said, please keep that always in mind moldran. The poker community is full of losing players and therefore a lot of haters. It just suck if you can't make it in poker than watch a relatively new player NOT losing it.

Iam watching your stream since years now (starting with the diablo 3 launch) and always liked it. As a poker degen i loved it once you started streaming poker and also donated 20$ but i can see why you don't want to stream poker anymore and i think its a good decision. I think for a streamer the most important thing (even before money) should the be positive vibes of his community.

Looking forward to your next streams! Maybe some day d3 will be something other than a brainless paragon grind so we can enjoy both playing AND watching it again.

Gl at the tables.

This, the cockiness is pretty annoying and probably rubs a lot of people the wrong way. If you notice Staples and Carver, they are never berating anyone or calling them fish like you constantly do.

You pretty much villainize yourself

I really enjoyed the whole poker streamer persona that you created Moldran. The whole hu specialist and your ability to 'crush' your opponents after making them fold two hands in a row were a highlight for me.

Honestly your poker streams were some of the most entertaining streams on twitch that I have watched recently.

I think some of the reasons why streamers like Jcarver and Staples get more subs is that they stream on set schedules and stick to the schedules and have done it for a long time.

You'll also notice that Jcarver and Staples spend a lot of time replying to specific people in chat and answering questions, which isn't something I've noticed you do a whole lot of.

I feel that if you stick with it for longer while also focusing a lot more on chat interactivity it will bring in more subs and donations.
