2+2 Twitchers:

Ive recently discovered that JNandez87, whom is a well respected PLO mid/high stakes player and coach has started streaming on Twitch. JNandez87 streams a couple of times a day, with different types of games (NL cash, SNGs, MTTs etc) in the afternoon (1800-2000 CEST) combined with a nightly 4 hour session of 500Z PLO starting at 22 CEST.

The streams purpose seems to be growing the game of poker, in all aspects and formats available - I believe that is something the poker community should embrace.

Ive watched for a few days now and the feeling one gets from participating is one of positivity. The chat is really clean from trolls, JNandez talks about life and health of mind, he encourages communication between viewers that creates a nice atmosphere for all in participation, where the common goal seems to be sharing experiences and improving.

As an additional perk, JNandez runs a giveaway system that seems really lucrative. He calls it the MVP league. In short the terms of the league is about collecting the most points each month, the points are earned in different types of competitions, including "Guess the stack", where viewers gets a set amount of minutes to guess how big or small of a stack JNandez will have at a certain table. Some of the prizes in the MVP league includes coaching sessions with the streamer.

Ill paste a link to the stream:
http://www.twitch.tv/jnandezpoker

Hope to see some, if not all of you in the chat.

Just found his stream, and i really liked it so far. Very unique, both in the format he's playing (very very few cash plo streamers), and in his setup, with the MVP system.

Will be following for sure.

Wow this guy's a sicko. JNandez dropped out of university in Switzerland when he was 21-22 and moved in to a tiny student apartment with his girlfriend. His life bankroll back then was $15k and the first thing he did as full-timer was purchasing a PLO theory book for 2.5k and also coaching for the same amount. With 10k left he started grinding PLO200 and rest is history!

Beat: JNandez booked a -14k day last week and downswinged about 20k total in the challenge.

Variance: Not that big of a downswing in JNandez overall graph.

800+ viewers on last night's stream btw. Well earned man!

I think it`s not about the $ for coaching he is aiming for. They hourly rate of his coaching and the hourly rate of him playing doesnt differ that much and teaching possible opponents is also not really +EV. He is sharing his whole cards and sharing a lot of thought process during his stream and this is also not +EV for his game i think. He is not very afraid of this by the way and doesn`t believe that his bb/100 suffers that much.

I think that he is going for something bigger than "normal" coaching. I think that he is going to build a proper website and become a competitor to RIO and other coaching sites. Time will show but i think there is something bigger in the pipeline and the twitch-stream is only a build up, marketing, test kind of thing. ;-)

The other reason is that he enjoys coaching and loves PLO (Poker) so much that he wants to give also something and not only take. He seems to be a very very nice guy.

Hello. Im back to share some updates about the stream:

Since I wrote the threadopener a variety of things has changed in the landscape of Jnandez twitch stream. Jnandez is currently playing PLO exclusively, while he was changing game types in the beginning. He is focusing on the challenge of making 100 000US in 100 days. At this very hour he has 32 days left of that timeframe. His bankroll reads 56 000US.

The streamer has partnered up with the company that provides him with the opportunity to share his knowledge (Twitch). When you enter a partnership with Twitch you get a subscribe-button. Viewers who subscribe to Jnandez channel is on the recieving end of multiple benefits. These include access to for-subscriber-only reviews (videos). The videos are shared in parts where Jnandez talks about and explains the usage of Huds, PokerJuice sessions, an interview with Matthew Janda and a lot of other exciting material.

The positivity that I first reported is still very much present and the community is growing stronger each day.

If I was to give you my honest opinion, Id tell you that you dont want to miss out on the opportunity of participating, whether you are a PLO player or not.

See you in the chat!

Pretty good chat in this channel I must say. Not all these uncool trolling and total aids questions you'll see on many other streams.

JNandez seems to have loosen up alot lately and shows more emotions on stream which is fun. Like JNandez said he don't really think about the fact that hundreds are watching him. Instead it's more like he's having a discussion with a smaller group of regs that you'll always see in the chat. Some of them are guys from the 500 zoom pool.

JNandez facing a 1k river shove at 2/5 was one of the best rail i've had on Twitch.

JNandez 3bet UTG's open pre. UTG call.
C-bet flop, UTG re-raise pot, JNandez call.
JNandez then check/called turn.

Sry for slowroll guys. JNandez sat out the other table and timebanked this for ~60 seconds so sick sweat there! Unfortunately, Twitch has cut out all audio on the vod cause of copyright claimed music.

That was a great hand. He was so stoked that he made the right move. Really turned his energy in the session around and he crushed until the end time.

is he always playing 2 Zoom tables, or are there some streams with one table, really hard to follow the action for a non PLO player or at least for me?^^
JNandez87: Streaming on Twitch Quote

It's almost always two tables; never more and very rarely less. Why don't you just watch one table and ignore the other?
