People should watch more his streams and old videos to really understand what it is all about.

if you watch his stream for the first time, it might be that you think he swears too much. But once you understand what it is all about, you don't mind.

I don't like swearing, but i don't even notice anymore while watching his streams.
It is because all the F words are part of the situation and used in funny context.

I've started watch Run It up with Episode 21 ( almost 2 years ago ). So I dont think it will be harmful at all. He was swearing back then too and look where RIU is right now ?

And some think it is only for young/rec people. I am 33old married with a child, playing poker every day - and I find his streams funny and entertaining.

For example, I find StickyRice1 streams extremely annoying and not funny at all!

I don't get a lot of his video game references, and I don't know **** about MMA but I still find it entertaining when he's talking about those things.

Didn't he guest commentate for the WSOP last year? Some nit biches ITT I swear.

Today's stream is comedy gold. Owning people in a $1 tourney while ****-talking the whole time and calling everybody sluts

This is entertainment

And he also commentated the live streams of the PCA (granted, hosted by pokerstars, who sponsors him, but still...)

PS gave him the choice to do his run it up show, his way. This is how he likes to do it, with a little swear here and there. In my opinion, this is a huge contributor to keeping most of the viewers enjoying the stream (obviously there are some people in the thread here commenting that they prefer his language to be more proper, but for the most part I would consider his swearing net positive for his viewer total, and general entertainment level).

Also, someone stating that he won't get sponsorship deals for swearing is ridiuculous for the following reasons:
-PS literally just signed him to represent their billion dollar company, knowing that he swears in his previous youtube videos.
-He has done commentating for both the WSOP and PCA. I noticed Somerville did tone down the swearing in the live broadcasts for the PCA, so he is capable of doing that. People like him doing the live broadcast because he has his Run It Up following, and they hope to attract viewers.
-It's just swearing. Generally he isn't using the swears to belittle people or ideas, just as adjectives in a sentence. Seeing as at least 99% of the viewers are 18 years old, I don't think it's a big deal.

If you would rather watch another streamer that will never swear at all, go ahead. But Jason's has worked hard to improve his brand and provide great poker content. He is streaming for like 40 more days straight, and he will have at least 5k viewers everyday, regardless of how much he swears

Why does his OPR only show results from 2015? He just started playing online?

i watched since the days we played together on ultimate (when he was putting his vids on youtube). he's gotten way better on camera, as we all would, i suppose.

he's entertaining and certainly deserves the deal and any other successes.

from where i'm sitting. it looks like he kind of invented streaming poker. now everyone else is playing tag-along like a bunch of sheep.

Christ if you think he swears a lot just be grateful it's not a Brit hosting the stream. There would be F's and C's flying round the room.

Another good run in a $1050 knockout tourny and 20k+ viewers today. As he was trying to sign off people kept subscribing and he had to keep acknowledging them.

Watching him take 3rd in that PLO hi/lo tourney was great.

He was so out matched towards the end and was just bleeding chips but still a ton a fun to watch.

Anyone else think this guy is absolutely great for the games? The level of play of the people who follow/subscribe to his stream is incredibly low. On top of that, any advice Jason gives is generally pretty simple and he's not sharing anything that people can't find out in two seconds on Google. The most advanced strat. discussion I ever see on his stream is "we are getting X to 1 to call so lolcall" which is great since fish will misapply this and make awful calls without proper implied odds or equity. I haven't once heard him say the words "GTO" or "range" so as long as it stays simple the stream is going to encourage a lot of bad regs / fish to play more and will help the economy.

Honestly, the only stream I've seen on twitch that really discusses advanced concepts and could legitimately make people very good at the game is the AJFenix stream. However, AJ doesn't save any VODs and the viewership is normally low so it's all good.

is it just me or is jcarver just really bad at poker. don't get me wrong, i think he is great at streaming and entertaining, and think its great for poker etc.. but this guy is so bad at poker. i guess in hold em he sort of knows what he is doing (even though i think he is awful even at hold em, like this crazy calling station with the worst lines sometimes), but watch this guy play omaha or any other game and it is like pathetic.

just me?
