I don't see it, no way a "bunch."
cold-calling a 3 bet(allin) oop for 8.5bb, 55bb effective with the original raiser still to act, you are leaking if you have a wide flat range here. Care to get into specifics with what he flats with?
the OR, a reg, from as mentioned the HJ or CO, probably opening a standard range, somewhere between what? 15% - 23%, given the dynamic. reg also knows there is a short stack behind who can shove so may tighten him a bit more.
What's the BB to flat with here? he should first and foremost be concerned with beating the 3-bettors range because he's all-in but then you have to compound that with the fact Mercier is still the OR and yet to act. I find it hard to come up with a flatting range when added in the fact Mercier is calling no matter what(the allin, not overcalling 100%). I could start to see him flatting hands like maybe AJss A10ss but again, that gets hard to do when you are still facing an open raise and a shove, which should be kind of tight because the opener has no FE versus said AI.
interesting spot. There were about 57 people left, think in the end Mercier got 56th, 18 paid I think, maybe even 12 actually. Mercier was in 16th of 58 at one point, I remember. He may have bled a few chips so he may have been a little closer to the middle of the pack when this hand went down, but nonetheless, he and LLlinus were sitting fairly decently. So, there probably were some small ICM implications as well = tighter = better.
care to state what u think LL flat/folds to shove with? does he have a shoving range when shorty shoves? I would think ak combos of any kind mostly always.
