I think Jamie is a pretty good lower buyin MTT player, obviously he's shot taking higher buyins especially with sponsortship/twitch money to fall back on. Also, if I'm looking for a stake at say 50NL, I'm showing my crusher graph for 25NL, not my losing graph for 50NL.

Has he though? Back when he started streaming, he won the Big 109 twice and final tabled it multiple times. I thought he was pretty decent. These days he seems to be making some horrific punts. The games very early in the 1k he recently got staked in, for example, where he fired three barrels to bust in with 88 on an AK3x3 board or similar. Or the Pokerstars 5k in manilla, where he called off his entire stack with pocket 2s in a 3 bet pot with two aces on board early in day one. He seems to be trying to play way too fancy poker and completely misapplying concepts he's learned.

I like the guy and enjoy his streams, but for me, he played much better when he started streaming

Maybe it wasn't great alright, but it was a terrible river to shove when the board paired counterfeiting any non King kicker. Just think it was a completely unnecessary punt by Jaime. Can't imagine his backer for the tourney was too happy either. The hand in Manilla which he described in one of his vlogs was even worse. No need to do that early on in deep stacked tournaments.

Hosted him a couple of times for 50-100 viewers. Not even as much as a thanks/mention etc. Will pass them to someone else from now on

Lol, why would you host the most successful streamer that doesn't need your host anyway and won't for sure come back to you, because you're just a little streamer? Host people that need the help, not some superstar.

I used to watch Jaime play on twitch, I always felt that he represented poker players well and was very relatable for the average person (me).
I liked that he was very open about his results and his ability as a player.

Then he went a blocked himself on sharkscope after losing a bit, which as an MTT player is understandably inevitably going to happen from time to time. I felt for him and that this must have been tough.

However, the straw that broke the camels back for me was when he went off and got fake teeth. I get it, hes allowed to alter his appearance any way he wants.
IMO his teeth were fine, they are not for a twitch stream, they're for eating. Such a vain move makes it hard for me to relate to him. I understand the reasons why someone with fine natural teeth would want to get fake teeth of course but to actually carry that out is more consistent with a mental issue than a physical one. Lastly the damage that people in the public eye do to the populations by acts of vanity is the real issue I have.
For every blinding white toothed six packed tanned person in the public eye surely we can agree at least one person will feel less for themselves.

How does someone changing something about themselves in a way that has zero effect on you , affect you so much? Do you hate when people dye their hair or wear makeup or lose weight or hell, buy new clothes?

Obviously he got teeth fixed so slightly different, but I see no problem when someone who has probably lived with an insecurity for ~20+ yrs of their life and suddenly has the financial means to change it to something they are happy with, I say go for it. Lasik is in a similar ball park, glasses are fully functional for allowing you to see , same with contacts - but if someone gets lasik to rid themselves of having to wear them would you **** on them and say you don't support them anymore?

A site called macropoker. If you try visiting the site now, it's closed and the domain name is for sale. However, it was a tracking site just like sharkscope. His macropoker graph looked exactly like his sharkscope graph (until he blocked it).

He's far from being open about his results.

a) he blocks his sharkscope
b) he never answers questions about his lifetime profits
c) he posts misleading graphs, like a snake oil salesman, to trick gullible people into buying action at markup
c) his mods time out people who ask questions about his results

Smart thing to do. People would just complain or be toxic at the slightest sight of a downswing. And all the negativity and criticism demoralizes streamers and also can make them play worse. Jamies stream was quite bad when he had all the toxicity, since December he and his mod team changed things and has been MUCH better since then.

THIS so much. I only thank/shoutout people for hosts that I actually know and have been member of my community for quite some time. Random hosts are often either just auto-hosts or for attention, hoping to grab a nice % of the audience from the streamer.

Oh and better looks on Twitch === more viewers, has been proven scientifically many times (looks means primarily face, but also to a decent degree physique). Not nearly as much important for guys compared to girls (poker audience is 95%+ male on Twitch, same with many other video games), but still has an effect.

He's been playing poker for more than 7 years, professionally for 3. He's amassed a sample size of 1000's of tournaments. Yet he is down a significant amount of money. At what point do you stop blaming variance for his losses? It's very clear, to anyone who has the faintest clue about poker, that he is a huge fish. No question about that.

He and his mod team are desperately trying to censor this truth. Thankfully we have other places on the internet, like 2+2, where the truth can be known. I just feel sorry for the newbies who view his stream and think he is some kind of poker expert, whereas if they knew what his graph looked like, they'd have a completely different opinion.

How prevalent are view bots on twitch. Sometimes I watch streamers with 1700 view counts yet the chat is very slow respectively. Not accussing anyone, just curious

No where as prevelant as about a year ago, twitch has taken action against a massive view selling website + got access to their client base in a lawsuit.

Many poker streams in particular will have high amounts of viewers with low chat activity because lots of people are playing poker on the side and/or watching the stream on mobile

No idea why this thread is still so active some of you are obsessed. I watched a few times then realised it wasn't for me and haven't watched since.

Regarding the lack of chat i always have it turned off as im there to watch whats happening not chat **** with random donks. Same as when i watch a youtube video i watch it then move on don't get embroiled in arguments in the comments.

I have no problem with anyone hiding their results. I do see something morally wrong with a losing player selling action at considerable mark-up where you're not being transparent with people buying action. I see a lot of streamers doing this, not just Jaime. It seems to be an acceptable practice, and it really shouldn't be.

I love the "net cashes of 550.000 on his outdated Wiki page
I've watched his vlogs neutrally and have come to this conclusion

He is a whiny, entitled guy who does mislead his audience for whatever reason ( to get stakes?) about trying to be one of the "best in the world" at poker. Now he has his bro complaining about not being popular and he is feelinng entitled. Go watch Tonkas stream or Doug Polks stream. They are great at poker, confident in their abilities and do not seem fake at all. You seem like a bad actor when the camera is on but what's worse is your portrayal of being a top caliber player with your studying the game for hours we never see.what we DO see is your results which you try and hide (amateur at best) and see your hand analysis and thought process. To even hint it's on par with with anyone resembling a professional is an insult to professional poker players. Sorry my friend you should stop that angle as a side income into tournaments and at least market that aspect of yourself in a real way to try sell pieces of your action. I think it's good to be a master of one trade instead of trying to be a jack of all and whining about every obsticle that clmes your way. Thats life. Life Isn't easy. If you want to be the best in the world online you need to invest in tools that give you an edge and study your tail off like Holtz did. You don't have the mentals to be a regular pro let alone this fools gold mentality of best in world. Give it up phony

One of Mike Vacanti's vlogs popped up on my YouTube feed the other day.. He's back over in Croatia to check up on the guys. Was shocked to see Jaime confess that he binged on a pizza the day before Mike arrived. Seriously takes some lack of willpower to end up eating pizza the day before your trainer arrives with your brother relying on you for a huge payday. Think his friends also have big money on them to win the bet too. Stay away from the pizza, man.. It's not that difficult!
I'm guessing Mike is on some sort of % cut for the bet by the way he's twice flown over unexpectedly to keep an eye on them. Must be tearing his hair out over this.

I wasn't surprised at the fact he cheated, in fact I think everyone expected being how low his will power seems to be. I would also almost bet anything that it was not the first time it happened. I just feel bad for the little stapler who seems to genuinely giving it his all to bulk up and putting his all into this bet. I am sure that $75k is a lot to Jaime and all but to Matt its more so life changing money giving that he streams/plays poker for income. I really wish Jaime would just be more open and honest about things including the bet and his poker earnings. I believe way more people would respect and follow/watch him on stream/youtube if he would just stop sugar coating everything and own up to his mistakes.

I also think it would be in Jaime's best interest, in many ways, to be more open about his faults. He seems to be somewhat getting there, in one vlog he talked about how he really isn't a fun person to hang out due to not enjoying regular social conversations.

Perhaps he should focus more on the fact that he's an obese young man who can't stay away from pizza, but is offered $75k to get in shape within a year and the struggles that comes with that. Rather than try to "make it" with "regular travel/lifestyle" vlogging. He just isn't an interesting enough person to catch a large audience doing the latter really.

The same goes for his poker content: He's not a good enough or interesting enough poker player for me to follow his grinding. What IS interesting would be to see his pain and struggles with the downswing (read: losses). Ironically an important aspect of poker is to NOT take results to heart too much, which he's doing a good job of avoiding. But doing so (staying emotionally detached from results) makes for boring viewing.

Jaime if you're gonna read one part of my post, read this part: It also seems like he might not be aware of how large youtube fitness is, and the online fitness world. It's much bigger than poker is, video wise. He should spend some time watching fitness vloggers and what they do in their videos. Not because he is a fitness vlogger, but because I think he could find a pretty good draw with this bet setup. Workout forums would be all over following 'the ultimate sweat', they just don't know it exists.

And to end on a Jaime-positive note: Starving yourself IS a lot harder than eating a lot of tasty stuff all day. Jaime has the by far harder part of this bet. And being in a large caloric deficit for a long time does make one a grumpy **** lol

this is how rumours spread. I watched the same video and his rough wording was 'Poker isn't my biggest source of income' that doesn't mean that he doesn't make his living from poker, it means that he has other incomes that are higher.

For example his poker income could be $60k but his stars contract is $80k, he could still live off poker but it wouldn't be his biggest income.

Fine for everyone to have an opinion on a public figure but if you're typing very critical posts based on wrong interpretations then that is wrong. Esp on a public forum where rumors can harm reputations.

Cmon dude, everybody knows he doesn't make money from poker, we've all seen the graph. And that's fine, not everybody can, there's no shame in it. He creates these situations for himself by claiming he's a winning player which pisses people off. I wish he would just man up and admit it, then focus on improving. THAT, I would watch.
