5k not a chance... I'm sure if he was making that much he wouldn't be considering not streaming anymore and looking for a new outlet in poker content

Wasn't kevmart a livepro before twitch? Maybe he realized it aint worth it to grind several hours and profiting only from subs and donos. Though have no idea is he winning or losing online.

He gets minimum of 1 50-100$ tip per day, no way someone would drop that kind of easy job. + he has a good ammount of sub, he gets 40+ most days and it's US money, so he gets 35$.

2k/m in dono alone would be 2.7k tax free (or should be) which is pretty ***** good for his sedentary lifestyle.

"cheaper"

Moving to Europe for 4 months is one of the dumbest ideas ever.

If you have to fly home to vist family = $$$$
Forget moving any furniture there by plane. So you have to buy that **** or rent it with furniture, but still have to get all your monitors and equipment there.
Then the internet sucks, you probably have to wait at least 2 weeks to get it fixed, lots of downtime. Then you play for a few weeks and move all the way back.

"because it's warm there"

I guess all that stuff, downtime and moving costs doesn't matter when your plan is to play as little poker as possible and just shill for your sponsors like poker refugees.

I will definitely tune in to watch the ****show.

This is wrong. If you go to his stream, his 'hall of fame' lists people who have donated $100 or more. I added them all up with a calculator and it came to $25,104 (you can check for yourself). He's been streaming for about 18 months I believe. So he has made about $1.4k per month in donations.

If he really made $5k a month in donations, he wouldn't be moving on to other projects.

He hasnt been updating his donations decently for a while

1.4k usd would still be 1900 CAD + 1.5k+ in subs + whatever he gets from stars and youtube

still more than my engineer friends make and im 100% sure its much more than that in donations

i have no idea if this is right or accurate or not, but it seems like kevins big donos trogga and i forget the other 2 or 3 have seemed to stop the donos is there any known reason why they quit giving him all the monies? maybe they still are i just havent had much time to watch twitch and it seems like their hall of fame numbers havent moved much on his leaderboard.

lack of update of the board by kevin and he also switched his streaming hours so they see him less often.

Ah, but I didn't retire at the average retirement age, so I still have a few decades to go my young whippersnapper. And I've already been retired for seven years.

And as for traveling around the country, I think it's time that you got a passport and saw the world. As for me, my wife and I are flying over to Germany in a few weeks to take in the sights and sounds of the season. We're then spending Christmas week in Prague before heading over to Vienna to attend a gala Ball on New Year's Eve. I'm even going to get in some poker while I'm over there. Last year we spent a couple of months traveling to Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. Ah, but all that traveling takes money doesn't it? Not something one can do while trying to grind the micros, lol.

Oh well. Since you don't have money, you can at least enjoy yourself here on 2+2 making snide remarks about Jaime and other people who are far more successful than you'll ever be.

Biography
Retired six years ago at the age of 54 and moved to LV to play poker for fun and profit and to enjoy all that the city and the area has to offer. Now living in Miami Beach.

So you are over 60.

To me people that retire around that age and brag about it are complete nutjobs
You are supposed to enjoy your 20's and 30's and 40's which is what a lot of young poker players have done. I spent my 20's living as most "young" retiree wish they could. Yes they have more money but they are old and cant enjoy the world as much as i and many others have.

An other reason why jaime's life is miserable, he spends all of it hoping for a better future when in reality he wont be able to walk by the time he could actually make it big.

There's plenty of middle ground between "working and being miserable" and "playing poker and enjoying life," though. And the average American retirement age is around 62, so retiring at 54 already puts him solidly better than average in that department. The average age will by most indications be considerably older for younger generations given the recent economic downturns.

Show where you are getting these numbers from. Scrolling through a few of his 6 hour vids, and the ones I saw had no donations, or one person donated $3

And some of these are people sending him money for tourneys where he'll get a 50% split. So it's not exactly the same as a donation.

It took him a week to write it because first he had to invent it.
His go to insults are to insult people for criticizing others. He never has any comments on the people the thread is about. Sadly, he also doesn't see irony of insulting people for making critical comments to others.

And after everyone laughs at him for boasting of his millions and 100k pension, he has to write another huge, sad reply about all the places he travels as if everyone here believes him. He's the type that would pay for a license plate that says "BIG DlCK MILLIONAIRE" thinking everyones impressed, and not sad for him.

It is ironic but give him a break, he is an old man who has probably experienced quite a bit of shrinkage and deterioration of the brain. That may explain why he is a millionaire that plays 2/5 and can't stay on topic in this thread. Critical thinking is very hard for someone his age. At least he has money though? :| I typed another paragraph I had to delete because it was just way too damn savage and I actually have a little pity for DC2LV. I'll dread the day I become a creepy, dense bitter old man.

I recently thought why people are being so harsh about Jaime and giving him such a hard time, here, on the twitch chat and on youtube.
It seems everybody either trying to give him life coach advices or just being judgmental about his life.

I think this all thing happen because Jaime allow himself to be vulnerable.
(which is a beautiful thing but people see it as weakness and allow themselves to attack)

In both his youtube vlogs and on his stream, Jaime is always being himself. life can be sad sometimes, not easy. there is a struggle for all of us. but we all hide it most of the time, and we sure as hell don't post it on our social media.
Jaime on the other hand share the most intimate fears, struggles and pain with the world, no masks.

Why can't we just be thankful this awesome vulnerability he share with us, is our life so perfect and full of joy?
all the people who keep giving him life advices, is your life so perfect you are in a position to tell others what to do?

Jamie was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a triple. He spends a lot of time talking about all the lofty goals he has in mind, and puts in 0 work toward them. Then he complains that he's unhappy with how things are going, and says he set his goals too low.

It's not because he's so "vulnerable", it's because hes' FoS and insincere.

he isnt being himself, he's being a fake. He tries so hard to be overly nice in a way that nice people are NOT. Just look at the way he switched his note taking. He'll call a fish that has played for years the same as a top pro because "you have to base your note fairly on experience" so basically scout326 is just as worthy as sauce123.

To me he is similar to the anti-gay crowd, they are hiding their gay/biness behind hatred and jaime is hiding is nastyness behind being overly fake nice. Watch his vlog from a couple days ago when he interacts with the dude that doesnt speak much english from the corner store, thats the real him, a total entitled ass.

Ya he basically doesn't even try to figure out what the guy says and just blows him off. Montreal is a very french city, and if you don't know any french you're the one in the minority. The other guy is speaking in his second language, and Jamie acted like a total dick.
Jaime Staples Quote

Ofc he's not being himself. I can't think of many situations in which he's acted genuinely.

I guess part of brand building is putting out a persona which people like. I'm sure for some of us it seems easy to see through but I'm sure there are hundreds on twitch who feel differently. People fall for tricks all the time, marketing and fakery works.

I mean you can even argue that in Jaime's current mindset he himself is trying to be someone he's not and living in this high goal dream state which rarely leads to success.

Self assessment is so vital in pretty much any part of ones life and I feel Jaime has just reached this point when he's so motivated on improving he's not noting down the errors he made previously and how to improve on them.

To me it seems far more gto to focus on the small things and build a solid foundation and have your **** together before going for gold.

I get the feeling that maybe his friends in the stream house feel somewhat afraid to be honest with Jaime and just sugarcoat a lot of things. Maybe he needs to be told he needs to stop being so idealistic and actually get his **** together.

A classic example is currently ignoring things like smoking and eating because other goals are more important in the short term. It's like he's completely ignoring the long term and short term ev of bad health, diet and a bad schedule.

I don't wish the worst for Jaime, I hope he does well but idk how he can reach the goals he's set even with his current schedule.

It will be interesting to see how he deals when the likely collapse happens and he burns out. Is he going to tell himself he's always been a dreamer or is he going to try and get to the route of the problem.

Spot on. The fake persona has always been apparent to me. Jaime has contempt for a lot of his viewers and believes he's the smartest person in the room. I cant even imagine the amount of eye-rolling his roommates do on a regular basis.

I'd say they're all of similar intelligence. Their downfall is that they're in the slightly above-average intelligence range + they don't surround themselves with very smart people. They'll all agree on the way to play a poker hand, and think that makes it correct.

Since he gets so much in donations/ Stars, he should really be getting himself a coach who crushes, a personal trainer/dietician. Not travel to random places where you have to spend weeks with culture shock, and then moving again before you've even set a good routine. It's a recipe for failure.
Jaime Staples Quote

Jaime and Kevin both come across as very fake and it doesn't take a genius to spot this. They are unnaturally nice and politically correct. I personally don't like it, but like Labax says, some people will believe anything.

I wonder what Pokerstars think of all his vlogs btw? I'm sure it doesn't reflect well on their business that they have a sponsored pro lamenting on youtube about his "tough" life and how he never achieves any of his goals.
