I don't get your humor or if you're being sarcastic. If you haven't been addicted to cigarettes then stfu.

in my rebel years i was smoking when drinking and since i was out every night i wanted to make a case to my friends that stopping was easy, i went fulltime for almost a year, a pack or so a day.
took me 0 days to quit, i stopped buying them.

not everyone is a mushy brained ****** that can't physically stop himself from walking somewhere and handing cash for an unneeded throat burning poopstick.

Jaime + matt (his brother) booked a prop bet vs bill perkins their $3k vs his $150k that in 1 year they can weigh the same. Jaime tweeted he believes he is around 310lbs and Matt is 135 ish.

I think it is defs do-able if that $150k can motivate them, I've seen crazier loss/gains in a year. I think they were saying their goal would be something like jaime dropping to 170 and matt gaining weight or muscle to 170.

They got no shot... Jaime will not lose 140 pounds in a year

Brilliant play by Jaime. Because the thing stopping him from becoming who he wants to be is his weight and health. Worst case scenario he comes up short, but will still be in much better physical and mental health while likely gaining a ton of popularity in the process. Investing in a nutritionist and personal trainer would be a super +EV move. It's a great play for Matt too because his biggest obstacle is a lack of a personality, and him trying to get jacked in year could really break him out of his shell. Worst case scenario for him is he finds some pussy.

loosing 140 pounds in one year is not healthy either

great bet for the Staples. Pretty excited to follow the progress. Hopefully they will both create some sort of meter on their stream that tracks their weight daily. This bet is genius in so many ways.

You don't get jacked in 1 year unless you use lots of gear. It takes many years of dedication in and out of the gym to gain significant muscle mass (the lifting part is actually easy, it's the nutrition/rest outside the gym that's the hardest part).

As for Jaime dropping 140lbs in a year, that's really unhealthy. 1kg (2.2lbs) per week is the absolute upper limit for weight loss. Anything more is putting your health at severe risk and is unsustainable long-term (i.e. he will just pile the lbs back on afterwards).

lol,
is it healthier to stay 300+ lbs for another year?

People saying it's unhealthy or impossible have probably never weighed a lot or seen someone close to them weigh a lot then get in shape. Or even watched biggest loser, with just cutting out fast food + pop, as well as cardio and light weight lifting 5 days a week someone 300+ lbs can drop ~60 lbs in a few months max without that much physical effort

The 140 will take a lot of discipline which we will see if jaime has, but with the right food and workout plan he can def do it.

I think the arguably harder part of the bet is for matt to gain ~40 lbs over the year unless he is willing to get super chubby eating fast food etc (which seems unlikely)

Whatever about Jaime being able to lose all the weight and Matt being able to bulk up, getting within such a tiny window as one pound of each other is going to be seriously tough. Prize fighters struggle to get inside weight restrictions never mind average Joe Soap. Also how does Jaime plan to upkeep his stream, his YT as well as Pokerstars commitments as well as general professional duties whilst going to the gym and eating healthy. 75k worth torching the stream/YT/Stars sponsorship?

GL GL to both but I can't see this happening

Roids and creatine for matt... meth for jamie (u know the matusow method lol). I firsee jamie slacking off and matt having to pick up the slack. Hell end up looking like ralphie may by the end of it.

People just arent getting this. Losing a vast amount of weight, breaking a lifetime of bad habits adding years to your life as well as massively improving the quality of it is worth more than any of those sponsorships . If he did it for free he would benefit.

Not only that but he will actually become more appealing to sponsors if he loses alot of weight. His poker will probably even benefit as it will make him more disciplined and motivated. I would imagine pokerstars and his other sponsors will be very supportive and wouldnt mind a slight drop in volume.

The 75k is just the cherry on top really , this is a great opportunity I hope he takes it and doesn't half arse it.

Does anyone know if either of them have started?

Think Jaime mentioned on his stream that he started and was going to have weekly weigh-ins starting this Friday. He also mentioned that Matt was building his way up to increase his calorie intake to 5k a day with lifting. He said that Matt used to lift in HS.

5k calories a day is complete overkill, especially if you're not used to it. All he will do is gain a lot of fat by eating that much.

They should both hire good a personal trainer and a nutritionist.

Im sure they both realize that though.

you mad? but yah i say 0% chance unless he quits poker for a year & he claims to have lost 70-80 lbs in year before so there is a chance he could do it

Smartest thing for him is to put poker on a hold for a while and really focus to this. Actually for both of them. 75k in profit is prolly more than they make in a year from poker and being in shape makes them so much more in the future for sure. Might even get laid sometimes.
