It seems like you have your own agenda and nothing will change your mind but if I am wrong I suggest giving the stream another go.

I had some bad first impressions about WCG as well. The first time I watched him he was getting triggered by the chat easily and barely tried to answer questions about the product he was trying to sell. I think at that time he either had a bad day or really gave into the twitch chat cause it really didn’t look like he was enjoying himself. Recent streams though are quite a different story. Dough seems to be genuinely enjoying the stream and embracing the ups and downs (mainly trolls) of twitch. He also actually tries to create a good atmosphere and knows when to hype it up, both which are not an easy thing to do when you stream with 5 min delay and little to no strat. That said, he definitely isn’t someone who will appeal to everyone like some other streamers which is more than fine.

I've really enjoyed WCGRider's stream. Entertaining, animated , and interesting poker (overbet!).

I wish there was a way to track his progress similar to Jcarver's riustats.com. Or have a highlights clip like Pokerstaples.

I use these things to help filter which casts I should watch. Would watch all but I don't have infinite time .

I dont like how the Rider has talked about some of the Swedes but boycotting a stream for personal reasons seems a bit serious. Poker is after all a competetive game and it's good for the show with the recent Twitter battles.

Pretty hilarious that a blue label in a poker client could start a conflict like the one we just witnessed.

It's laughable. Heard from a friend WCG thinks Jason Mercier is a bad reg. Jason's tournament play is miles ahead of WCG and if you don't believe me look at his career tourney winnings vs WCG. It's just ridiculous. He's also started selling t-shirts with Tom Dwans face on the front. Seriously, grow up and have some class. Had the pleasure of watching Tonka get 2nd in the 600K and while I think he's a couple rungs lower than Staples & Carver as a Twitch streamer he's making serious inroads as a top streamer. He gave away a DX racer chair to his viewers which he didn't have to. The guy is a class act and it's probably the reason why he topped out at 16,000+ viewers.

Best part IMO was Mercier's tweet that he unregged the SCOOP $21k HU so Trueteller could register and **** up Doug's ROI. (Noteworthy is that Trueteller acutally did bust Doug in this)

You are just stupid. Comparing Merciers and Polks results is idiotic. Mercier is semi oldschool live mtt crusher allmost 10 years now. Polk is cash online crusher who plays mtts for fun because the field is much softer.

Personally I really don't like Polk that much so I am no fanboy. He comes sometimes out little too cocky and arrogant but most def has the trackresult for that. But in the end thats the way to go and get the buzz around him and makes is so much easier to promote usp.

Wouldn't Mercier be a favorite if they played 8-game? Even if you assume a big edge for Polk in Hold'em and PLO that's only 2 of the 8 games.

Reportedly Mercier wouldnt play Doug heads up at anything. Offered to play him in a 3 handed mixed game with Luke Schwartz.

I rarely give compliments, but I think Doug is an excellent streamer. One of the few guys in the poker world who is good at poker, interesting to listen to and can communicate his thoughts effectively. I definitely think he is a natural at streaming and hope he continues.

previous broadcasts are alot less enjoyable because of the constant muting of audio! If the reason for this is the background music then you should really consider taking it off imo so the ones who cant watch live like myself can enjoy the show aswell!

Other than that great stream. Only poker streamer ive subbed to on twitch (2x now) keep putting in work

Mercier is a joke. Doug just used the tag player option ffs, is he not allowed to do that? Barely said a word about him on the stream. Mercier still has to go and cry.
I mean even if Doug is wrong and Mercier is better than him at MTTs wouldn't it be +EV for Mercier to keep quiet, let Doug underestimate him and keep having an edge against him? But he did the opposite of keep quiet, go figure...

What is said below is absolutely true for me as well. I live in Asia and is almost never able to catch you live so I subscribed to have VOD access, but half the time all audio is muted on VODs due to copyrighted background music. Can you find a way around this or simply have no background music?

Go watch your own VODs and you'll see. Please help! I would love to renew my subscription but this has really been quite annoying.

I've never watched any poker streams really but this one kept me coming back almost every time, so needless to say I like it a lot.

There are some things I think could be better, so I figure I might as well give my 2 cents.

- What the others said about the copyright thing with the music.
- Playlist has too few songs and has felt like a broken record after the first few weeks, so two birds can be hit with one stone with regards to updating the music.
- Replay value might not be a top priority but some sort of naming system would be cool for the vods, even if it's as simple as putting a vod number in the header. Helps a lot for those who want to find a certain segment to rewatch.

And on a more personal note I guess I'm not a fan of the unfiltered attacks on people. Banter surrounding the Danmerrrs of the world is entertaining but destroying people like Kanu? Sheesh.

But I disgress, great stream overall and I look forward to seeing what can be done from Vegas

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! Really helps me improve and try to make my stream better.

I know the music is a problem, but when I was playing so many hours every day during SCOOP I just did not have the time to try to fix it. At some point down the road I will fix this and we wont have the same issues.

In 2 days I am playing the Super High Roller Bowl at Aria, so wont be doing any streaming this week. I would expect to see me back in some capacity next week. (Probably doing a mix of streaming CS:GO and American poker sites.) So it shouldn't be too long of a break before you get some more streams.

The Mercier thing I really dont understand, we have a youtube video on the Upswing youtube channel where I explain my thoughts, but you guys seem to have gotten the jist of things in the thread anyway.

I think in the fall I am going to do some kind of challenge. Something like $100-->100k, or see what I can do with $100 in 100 days, not sure yet. But I would love to do a challenge type format and see how much money I could run up a small amount into.
