Thanks for the suggestions, quite the mixed ride

A few have been added, some not on spotify, some I enjoyed but don't really want on the PLAYLIST. All appreciated as always, though. The playlist will continue evolving.

If anyone hasn't seen it and is interested, I was on Joey's legendary podcast recently:

Thanks for the feedback in chat and everywhere else. I highly recommend you check out some of the other guests he's had on there as well, some were very good and I'm sure you'd enjoy.

..And if some of you want to join in for the occasional late night agar.io, it's been fun. It's a multiplayer pac-man-esque game where you try to devour your opponents, spacebar splits/dashes, W shoots pellets which you can use to make grey virus things explode to cut up big things, just hop in there for 5 minutes and you'll have a better understanding.

I'm switching extensions as apparently Agario Extended is CHEATING

http://agariomods.com/ was suggested as the plugin we use so we can still join by IP and still has some functionality.

Hi AJ. Love the stream... Love the mix of everything poker and music.

I see you added an Ian Brown track due to a recommendation. This is his undisputed masterpiece as a solo artist. Defo streamworthy. Them lyrics.

Check out these guys. They mesh Guitar drums and synths with old Public Service Broadcasts from the Space Race etc. There is no chance you to listen to this song once and not click replay. Rest of their stuff is straight out of the top drawer too.

Anyway keep on doing what your doing.

A very grateful subscriber.

It feels like every time I tune in to watch you're railing instead of playing. Maybe I'm just watching at inopportune times, but you rail way more then you used to for sure.

Haha, I decided it had run its course, it was originally meant as an inside joke/reply to an already pretty funny thread

To be fair, I used to never rail or do much other than play in one way or another, and a good bit of the recent sessions have been during hours I'm guessing many people are sleep, but there will be many more grind sessions at different hours for sure

Also, shoutout to my friend Brynjar, Nanonoko, The Mountain, and everyone else involved for this one:

The Mountain lives up to his name lmao

Thanks as always for the support and feedback to everyone, whether it be here, in chat, on twitter, or anywhere else. Always appreciated, and all the best to you guys.

Also, a book recommendation: Seneca - On the Shortness of Life
"Life is long if you know how to use it", it's short/concise/of high value, and I'm guessing a non 0 amount of people benefit from it ;P

AJ, I have lurked your stream for a while now, and you definitely have the most entertaining stream on Twitch. Are you going to do a TR on your vaca to Japan? That would be super cool.

After the epic stream you went on a week ago, I thought that the song below is a must add. It will serve as a warning to all the haters that you are going to get turnt, or just play it whenever.

Much love, will go through all of those. Will also grind poker harder than ever when I get back, and the majority of stream hours will be dedicated to actual play. After whatever bigger quota of play I'd still want to mix in other games/things even if it is for much less people, but I'll make sure the poker dwellers are SATISFIED. Hopefully those notifications don't annoy too much. ALL the best for the next two weeks friends, thanks for popping in, thanks for the support.

Japan. (The subsequent pics are just some of what I randomly took on my phone, I'll likely get more photos from people and maybe do a followup post in the future. Don't take anything too seriously, I'm being playful and I hope you enjoy )

I'd be lying if I told you that Japanese isn't worth learning. I'm signing up for courses hopefully today. It was certainly one of the most unique places I've ever had a chance to visit, and in a VERY positive way. A culture of much higher levels of dignity and respect overall, with a very welcoming and endearing approach towards filthy gaijin such as myself. An overall sense of peace, safety, and intelligence imbued with an impressive amount of historical connotation. Delicious food of a wide variety. Magnet-levitation bullet trains. SAMURAI. Amazingly cute grills with THE BEST ATTITUDES EVER. Toilets (even in the slums) that will wash you PRISTINE CLEAN, with several exciting settings:
Spoiler:

I know you're excited

The primary reason, aside from lavish degeneracy, behind the trip was to visit my stepbrother, who I hadn't seen in years. A legend in his own right, his list of qualifications exceeds most mortals. An ethnically Costa Rican architect from gritty LA who's team is responsible for the lighthouse in Shutter Island (worked with Scorcese HYPE) and the castle from Inception (INCEPTION), who is a professional level swing dancer (Zoot suits, baby) that won multiple competitions, who raced RX7's (rotary engines HYPE) and has a MEAN bowling spin. He had moved to Japan about a year and a half ago as him and his Japanese wife wanted their two daughters to grow up in Japan. An excellent, extremely +EV choice.
Spoiler:

He MADE those cute creatures, magic, idk -_-?

Two other people I hadn't seen in a while were my stepsis and her husband, who made the trip out from Vegas. Two genuinely great people. It was an awesome rendezvous and I'm very glad it happened. I was really happy to see them again.

Of them ALL.

Wind Bros know whats good

One of the Tokyo nights my stepbro and I decided to wander into the nighttime streets. It was a Monday night, so expectations weren't set high. We avoided all the places with Nigerians soliciting outside of them, as all the reviews stated they were basically tourist traps. We found one spot that had a Japanese gentleman about my age in a suit outside by a booth. It gave off an initial impression of "classy".

We asked if anyone was in there, he said no, so we obviously paid cover and went in anyway since he wasn't Nigerian. At approximately midnight, it was dead. We had two drink tickets each, so we figured we'd at least make use of those. We noticed someone kept walking around, checking their list, and stepbro commented that they were expecting something or that wouldn't be happening. Sure enough, by 2am the place was LIVELY, and by 3am it was packed. Montreal doesn't do it like THIS. I was in a great mood, and we ended up just throwing endless drinks at every group of girls there, which is a technique generally frowned upon by social dynamics experts, but works well if done in playful excess. I say the previous sentence in a joking manner, as apparently females enjoy my company in this magical land. I just really like throwing alcohol at people and enjoying their reactions and subsequent progression through the abyss of fun.

I didn't really take any pics at this place, but the stage setup resembled something deadmau5 would tour with, with a show on the front of the booth merging with the background screens and overall looking badass. It wasn't a HUGE venue, reasonably sized, but it resembled a giant, much better version of a Movado watch. Sleek, elegant, impressive. Or close enough. Look man, I don't wear watches, if you hate Movado, replace it with something that generates that imagery. Charlize Theron? It was like partying on her face.

The smoke machine was flaring up and a high % of females were getting into it. I hadn't stated this before, but I was honestly attracted to a much higher % of women there than in North America. We entertained a group of 3 of them, with 2 others trying to join in as they had received free drinks and no one had interacted with them, which certainly wasn't standard. We were a bit preoccupied with the 3 and dance moves were being deployed by all parties.

Stepbro unfortunately had to leave at around 3:30am to get some remote work done and entrusted me with the responsibility of getting myself back alive. At some point ~3:30am the 3 girls had left after exchanging some info.. and in their place appeared a ridiculously gorgeous girl in a wedding dress with HER friend. Wedding dress girl was outrageously good looking (certainly to me and in the state I was in, and thankfully in future photos as well), and was apparently just cosplaying on a Monday night at 3:30am. Excellent. I probably should have married her on the spot. She actually spoke decent English, which got me REALLY excited.

Spoiler:

wow

wow

I later learned she is part of a 3-piece female DJ group

Unfortunately I didn't make it back in time for the 10am tour, and my crew was worried that I might have ended up in an alley like I said I would.

At some point it was time to leave Tokyo :*(

Spoiler:

Hi, we are about to go fast

There was a fun night in Kyoto that I really don't have any pictures from yet either, I will hopefully be able to get some, along with other pictures other people took that might be worthwhile. During the day we explored a vast selection of awesome temples, and I think those pics will be worthwhile. The night story from Kyoto was that we were looking for a specific spot I saw good reviews for (because alcohol), and we ended up on a street that probably had ~100 bars/clubs, with most of them pretty dead as it was once again a weekday. Me and Junior (stepsis' husband) stumbled into a spot with some English speakers, including an awesome Japanese guy that was moving to Miami soon for studies (lol) and his female friend, and befriended them. They helped us explore the area, but the place we seeked was closed. We were running out of options before finally finding an awesome spot on a random floor of one of the buildings which had people dancing and good music playing.

I decided to make some financial mistakes and they opened the fenced off section for us while we kept infinite bottles of champagne flowing for every person in the venue, until the entire establishment had had enough (which didn't happen until 6am). The owner of the place was extremely happy, grateful, and excited. He certainly had some drinks with us, and at some point later on handed me a bottle of water with a smile and a pat on the back. I might be able to get some pics from him.

A playfully aggressive but extremely hot pro was forcing makeouts while a much nicer, respectful cute grill would occasionally translate for her but jealously told me that the other girl is a bitch and will f other guys, and to be careful, while cuddling up to me. I greatly enjoyed this situation and part of me hoped it would last forever. We were leaving early in the morning so I was unfortunately more concerned with gargling down as much champagne as possible, but I probably should have married her on the spot.

We had some very strong "You Got Served"-esque danceoffs on the floor, I recall doing some vicious moves and motioning towards a person and then they'd then take over and go off. Much fun was had. Maybe I should have pursued one of the two grills, idk :-/ There was a third grill at some point, I was pretty gone at this point but I just remember her giving me the most concerned face possible with every inquiry I made. This also entertained me. Junior was having a great time, and I was happy to see it. He said it was a very memorable night, which is worth to me. Unfortunately we got like 1 hour of sleep after way too much drinking and the next day was pretty much eradicated, along with what felt like my lifeforce, at least temporarily.

Fukuoka. Japan's 6th largest city and home base. We were staying near a bowling alley/arcade(got some Tekken 7 wins in, aww yee)/karaoke/pool/darts spot that we kicked it at several times, along with a train station next to us, quickly taking us into the core (for more degeneracy, because when is there really an "enough", friends)

Spoiler:

Darts vs Jay, we were 3-3 in games and he basically had to hit the middle, a triple 20, or something really unlikely to win

I also got to grind some wins out on a Tekken 7 machine hooked to the internet, playing vs people online with a card that saved progress. A hungover activity I also enjoyed, with some exciting close matches/rematches and obv fighting game tilt.

Spoiler:

We happened to be in Fukuoka right when they were having a Canada Day party, which I clearly had to partake in:

Spoiler:

practicing for Zoolander

So this girl, we exchanged info and I sent her a msg or two in the coming days, even had stepbro send a msg on his phone as mine weren't always going through, no response (This was before I started using Line, which is reliable/great). I continued through my week.

Several days later I hopped on board a random 9-car 4:20pm train to go one stop to the shopping center which had some delicious places to eat, and a girl posted up across from me. I glanced over and she smiled, which was nice, but realistically I don't speak Japanese and most people don't speak English, and I'm going one stop, so I shrugged it off. I get off at the stop and she gets off and starts walking shoulder to shoulder alongside me. I look to my left and pull one of the white earbuds from out of my ears, and she quickly mirrors it by pulling a white earbud out of HER ear, quickly stating "Canada Day?". DAYUMMMMMMM. It was CANADA DAY GIRL. Do realize that the Canada Day party was on the other side of town many many stops away, trains are frequent, and she had found me on this specific train in this specific train car on this specific day/time. I know my odds, and low doesn't suffice here. I told her I had sent msgs, she showed me her phone and that nothing had gotten through, including stepbro's msg. WE WERE MIRACULOUSLY REUNITED. Among other things, she teaches Kendo, which is basically swordsmanship. SHE TEACHES SWORD FIGHTING. WOW. I probably should have married her on the spot.

Spoiler:

better pic, I just wanted to Zoolander for you

I'm not gonna say who came with me for the last adventure, as it might be better off leaving out for reasons I can explain on stream at some point, but it was decided that a FINALE was necessary. An exciting, packed spot was found in the Fukuoka core, and the onslaught began.

Spoiler:

More Zoolander. Not sure if tan or jaundice. Pardon champagneFenix, he knows not what he does

I probably should have married her on the spot

hangin' in there, hair game vicious

floating with angels..

..and yeah. At some point, my Japan adventure had come to an end for the time being. There's some details missing, some omitted, I hope this will suffice for now. I'm sure a story or two will be added on stream I had vowed not to take another sip of alch for the rest of the year, which I will keep in order to make sure things get done and I stay focused. Montreal has the ability to be quite fun during these times as well.

We're back in the poker lab, excited to be here. Will definitely be streaming by this coming week, and streaming actual play more than ever as I said I would. Might post more pics at some point once I have them. Hopefully you're at least entertained at my expense : ) But yeah, signing up for Japanese classes ASAP, and I'll definitely use some spare time towards it in other ways. I want to be fluent. I LOVE YOU, JAPAN. I WILL RETURN.

For now, I'm fully powered.
