I'm convinced the banana odds are

It's not equally weighted, as best I can tell it's

Regular - 50%
Deviate - 25%
Rotten - 12.5%
Big - 12.5%

small sample size of course

People give up really quick most of the times. Either a mana addict or a mana wyrm that they can't deal with. This is my current deck. Only got to use a trogg once so not sure if they are needed. Really quick to get wins so 100 gold a day with not much effort.

arcane missiles x2
arcane explosion
ice lance x2
mirror image x2
clockwork gnome x2
dragon egg x2
mana wyrm x2
flame cannon x2
frostbolt x2
ironbeak owl x2
loot hoarder
mana addict
sorcerer's apprentice x2
arcane intellect x2
flamewaker x2
echo of medivh
burly rockjaw trogg x2

just a janky 2 of everything seems fine deck. never really tried mill rogue before but had an idea of how they worked:

2 backstab
2 prep
2 shadowstep
2 bladeflurry
2 evis
2 gang up
2 sap
bloodmage
2 panda
2 deathlord
2 coldlight
2 healbot
2 drake
2 vanish
1 sprint

If I were to get serious about it I think I'd rather have another cycle card for one panda, maybe find a spot for like sabo and another taunt. In the one game I used both pandas I milled both of my shadowsteps.....but it was irrelevant.

Yeah, I don't get it. I've had a couple people quit as soon as I give a banana to a mana wyrm.

In a way, that makes last week's brawl more fair. Nefarian was definitely favored. But if you survived to turn 7, Rag had the advantage. So Rag could come back from a deficit. This week, it seems that if you fall behind early, you are in serious trouble.

Fan seems strictly better than flurry in that list

you need a board clear to lock their hand up with spells before you prep/vanish anything they had left. you're taking a ton of damage early so the clear is critical I found. I dunno though maybe in general fan is better, I'd never really played mill rogue before. I actually don't see how it could work well outside of this specific format.

I'm 9-0 today with a flamewaker mage deck. It's pretty OP in this mode.

everyone is running aggro decks with no answers so there aren't great ways to come back when you fall far behind.

I saw this last night and thought it was pretty sick.

Boosting a mana addict to high damage, attack and then using a swap health banana is pretty deadly as well. Now none of the easy removals work.

My win came from a mid-range controlly shaman in which I replaced my 2 drops with troggs and mana addicts. It already had a decent number of spells.

I got my pack and won't be playing any more but I think it has merit.

I think this deck is close to optimal, except maybe the ratio of 0 power guys to activators is a bit too high:

Variance: I went 16-2 yesterday using a flamewaker deck. I'm now 0-4 today using the same deck. Guess I must have ran well with the flamewaker yesterday. Seems like I always had it in my hand with a bunch of bananas ready. Today, I didn't even draw a flamewaker in 3 of the matches. The 4th, I had no spells available when I drew it.

Do we have any confirmed benefit to gaining brawl wins aside from fun?

PS, I am in the "fun for fun's sake" funcamp.

Brawl wins count for your daily quests and you get the 3 wins = 10 gold reward also.

JFC, I've lost 8 in a row trying to clear a mage daily quest. Don't know how I can go 16-2 one day, then 0-8 the next.
