I feel like Priest is fine as the meta is switching away from Patron Warrior/Tempo Mage/Face Hunter/Zoo and featuring more Control and Midrange decks. Priest was just too slow to deal with the super up tempo decks.

priest is really good against tempo mage, face hunter, and zoo tho.

yeah, I don't think it's exceptionally bad, I just find it inconsistent due to the large number of situational cards and the fairly lackluster card draw available. Maybe I just haven't found the right build though. I will say though that my winrate across all classes vs priest is close to 80%.

lackluster card draw? if done right, priest can draw better than almost every class but warrior and warlock. the girl + heal combos are pretty epic.

a lot hinges on northshire, it can be lackluster. the new deck ive seen the past week plays both northshires AND acolytes, so a lot of people feel the same way as crunkmoney

Some Chinese guy hit top 10 legend with some super aggro deck and I have no idea how. It has no nova, pain, death, lightbomb or MC. In fact the curve tops off at 4 with 2x auchenai and a jeeves and also runs 2x mind blasts. I got STOMPED every game testing it out.

went from rank 4 to legend pretty quickly using this priest deck.

yeah zeta is who i base my priest decks on, most of the time. my priest deck is named zeta i think anyway - deck i currently run is almost that completely, although ysera is subbed out for even more anti aggro early stuff. hes the man when looking at priest!

anyone have any advice on mulligans? I think I suck at it with priest. I'm using basically zeta's list above.

That's why you always run 2 Thoughtsteal or zero: so you have a chance at getting a Maiden/Block/Armorsmith.

I have been playing around with this mindblast deck and it's the most fun I've had playing a Priest deck. I'm not sure how viable it is at ranks 5-legend but if you're looking for a unique deck to rank up with at the beginning of the season, I recommend it.

Honestly I feel Emperor, Prophet Velen, 2x Mind blast are necessary in every priest deck. No one ever plays around 20 damage burst from a priest (lolz). And you only need to have 1 of those cards in your hand to have emperor reduce that combo to 10 mana. In that specific link, I think alex and chrom are too slow and would probably put in sylvanas, unless you are aiming specifically for a dragon build. Also, lightbomb and the 2x novas seem like overkill but maybe thats just me.

Yeah, I think I'm going to take out Chromaggus for sure. I find that I almost never get value with it and almost always wish I had a different card in hand. I might try putting in Sneed's for a while. I'm on the fence about Alex. It has won me some games where I've only drawn one mindblast and saved me a couple times vs hunters. I think I need a bigger sample size to decide one way or the other. I really like having the 2 novas and light bombs.

I saw zetalot playing a deck with the velen's burst combo at legend. Don't know if he was winning with it though.

I got sick of netdecking Priest decks so I threw together this dragon list last night. I don't know how viable it is at the 5+ ranks, but it's a lot of fun and seems to crush lower ranks. I went 18-6 climbing from 12ish to 9. (Was running 2 deaths and 1 pain but started to run into a ton of aggro so started running 2 pains and 1 death). WIP

Flash heal is pretty OP in the otk priest deck

considering a lightbomb over the second nova but I really hate so many 1-offs and holy nova clears all the aggro garbage just as fine. had chromaggus in but found myself never getting value and usually dont lack for dragons. rend comes up huge. i see the 2/4 in a lot of lists but just dont think its that useful

is no azure drakes standard in dragon priest? seems like if you don't run azure drakes you should run lightbomb because patron still is a thing even though nobody's really playing it these days

I think 6 dragons is too few but if it's working for you then maybe I'm wrong. I run 2x Azure Drake in my current list because I like having 8 dragons in the deck for synergy and I also feel that a lot of times I really need the draw since dragon decks don't run circles, so you won't be getting a huge cleric + circle combo off to draw half you deck. One thing I've also found is that I'm starting to like cultists over blackwing techs but I need more games to make a final decision on that.

Interesting that you're running pyros over wymrests. I think wyrmrest is the card that makes dragon priest viable. (well, wyrmrest and guardian) Chillmaw is really strong also, I think it's a must have in the current meta with all the aggro.

Sidenote: I ran into an aggro priest last night and he crushed me. I wonder how viable that deck is. I don't really want to burn 800 dust on two shadowbombers just to find out though.

btw, here's my current list. I was experimenting with MC last night but I think I'm going to sub in Nefarian or maybe Vol'jin.
