Getting Frothing out early against Facehunter straight up wins games. It's the only matchup in which I'm happy to play frothing turn 3.

It's not a good use of a card with combo potential to just throw it out to be gobbled up.

Yeah, but throwing Frothy's out where the hunter can snipe for free is a bad idea too. I play patron as well as hunter. Depending on cards I usually can get by enough rounds not to put combo pieces out there naked.

You're doing it wrong if you are waiting to combo out vs face hunter.

Considering there's alternatives to sacrificing combo cards like using whirlwinds and weapons to keep the board clean, that doesn't make sense.

I mean, I've only played a couple of dozen games with patron but Warrior is TheRempel's life so it might be worth considering what he has to say

Paul, you should concede to Rempel already. He is a great warrior player and is right on this very specific matter.

I assume you don't mean the (literal) snipe card, and are talking about sniping via charge+board presence. It's still taking time away. He's right, turn 3 naked frothing is strong vs face. On top of that, patron warrior doesn't have better turn 3 plays nor does it have time to set up massive late game combos (ie it's better to play it turn 3 than die turn 7 with it in hand BOUT TO UNLEASH THE FURY).

ROFL, I just played a hunter (with mine too) that coined a deathlord on me turn 2, then dropped 2 belchers later. Like, it's the game I just finished playing. He conceded turn 7 because I had all the answers, but that was bizarre.

Does anyone use the Gladiator Longbow in any (good) decks? I don't imagine so, but I'm curious.

Interesting deck. I find deathlords very annoying to play against and had been planning to mess with them in some different decks when I got some time.

Only time I've ever seen gladiator longbow was in arena.

Gladiator's longbow is too expensive to see play when you compare it to the awesome that is eaglehorn, and to a lesser extent, glaivezooka.

Gladiator's Longbow is really underpowered. Which is fine with me, as Hunter has so many overpowered cards

But it's 10 damage over 2 turns for 7 mana, which is a pretty brutal ratio when compared with basically every other option they have.

The life-save isnt that great because most 5 health stuff doesn't have a LOT of power. As in, you're not face tanking a Rag, since you're not removing it with the Bow, and if it's just a joint-kill, you're spending whatever other resources plus a REALLY EXPENSIVE BOW, which means you're not gaining an advantage

Like, it trades with a Belcher. Over 2 turns. Ick!

For it to see play, I don't even think if it was 6 mana it would be great. Could compare it to Leeroy Jenkins, for example, which goes in and out of face decks. Leeroy would still be better!

If there ever was an actual full-fledged control Hunter maybe it could fit the deck there, but probably not. It's weaker than Gorehowl, and most warriors dont have room for gorehowl.

Time to drop some ranks trying this out.

Handlock and warrior skull****ed me back to back games then I gave up.

That's what I thought, Bobbo. I'm considering just disenchanting it. Well, if I need to specifically craft something. Don't see how it could even possibly work in any possible deck.

Feels wrong playing facehunter

Feels more like sexy efficacious burninating domination of the countryside.

I haven't played face hunter on the laddder yet.

Don't see any real reason, I can't imagine it wins more often than midrange.
