I got a $100 gift card to Amazon from my birthday about half a year ago and still haven't used it

I could use my old Zetalot list, sure, but that deck got zilch from GvG and is basically supersededstar now, I think.

I also hate being called "poor-man" when I've spent >$300 in packs and have everything I need for handlock, control warrior (except Boom), any mage, and miracle rogue, hahah.

Deathrattle priest got some 4 mana mechs you might wanna try, but ya, it's not that different. If you just wanna clear quests, it should be fine.

As a beginner who just started playing a few days ago, should I just be spending gold on packs? Clearly I'm not about to spend gold in the Arena; is there anything else I should be saving gold for or just spend it as soon as I have enough for a pack?

I've gotten a few packs for free already - I think they were the bonus GvG packs and 2-3 others for achieving a few things early on. I've earned all the basic cards with Mage and Paladin and am just going to keep playing solo with the other classes to get them all to Level 10.

I'm also playing the occasional "Play" match to earn some gold and hit the daily goals, though I'm playing solo more for now. Just had a couple very satisfying PvP wins - the kind where they are kicking my ass for a while, but then I just unload on them. The last game I played, I was down 30-9 and a few turns later I overwhelmed him so badly he conceded with 16 health left.

Arena!

New players should arena imo. It teaches you how to play and introduces cards. The rewards you get generally offset the +50 gold it costs vs a pack.

Even better than random packs is Naxxramus. 7 random packs will never be as good as a Naxxramus wing.

Play arena. It's a better value - I think you get more value per gold so long as you get 3 wins.

Just buy packs though if you hate playing in the arena.

Yeah even if you suck balls play arena, you'll learn the game and not lose much if any value on packs.

if nothing else look up an arena tier list when drafting arena. if you're starting with no knowledge of the cards you'll be a lot better off drafting based off that. Not hard to follow a tier list to a T and get 3 wins.

Arena for sure. Use aidctgwa (somethin like that) tier list to draft. He ranks all the cards by rarity and class.He also has great articles about gameplay. You'll learn more about the game through arena AND you get a pack every time plus rewards. Even if you only get 4-5 wins you'll usually break even getting the pack + 50 gold. If you hit 7 you're guaranteed the full 150 back plus a pack and more. It's more efficient than buying packs for 100g.

so its obviously a deathrattle hunter. But the deathrattles and cards accompanying them are specific. the idea is to make a deck where the board is just a complete bitch to clear.

This means that half the minions in the deck are going to be immediately replaced by another one.
So continuing the theme of making minions a bitch to remove, four yetis (2 chill 2 mech), and two faerie dragons.
Now to give some synergy, add feign death and baron rivendare.
last couple cards are helpful for clearing things out when you are getting close to the fatal: 2x deadly shot, 2x cobra shot, 1x explosive shot.
cobra shot is amazing. there are a lot of situation where the opponent gets to single digit health and gets a decent size taunt out. cobra shot further reduces his health, along with your hero power, while putting some damage on the taunt. Now to kill the taunt, you only need to sacrifice 1-2 minions. With this deck you will usually have 3+ on the board since its so hard to kill them off, and your remaining minions will finish him.

anyway, i've only played this at low levels, but it seems fun and effective, so if anyone want to give any feedback, or improvements, i'd like to hear them.

Anyone have crafting advice for me? Unfortunately my collection has some huge holes in it and I'm not sure what to craft. Interesting in playing control warrior, handlock mage and priest.

I currently have 6K dust if I get rid of all my GvG dupes. Off the top of my head I'm missing:

Rag, sylvannas, gromm, antonidas, jaraxxus, tbk, harrison, geddon, and boom for legendaries.

One shield slam, two cabals, and one mountain giant for epics.

I also probably have about 1k dust in goldens and 3 or 4 bad legendaries I could dust.

Trump doesn't get donation trains like some of the trolly streamers but he runs ads in between EVERY ****ING GAME. His stream is basically unwatchable on mobile because of it. I bet his ad revenue for 20k viewers and 5 ad breaks per hour is the highest on Twitch.

I'm not saying streaming is easy to get into. It would be way harder to get into the game today than it was back in 2012. I mean, Trump used to stream Civ5 to like ~100 people back before he got an early ticket into HS. Trump is smart and deserves success but he's also a lucky fool.

The guys who are really good at being entertaining I think could make it if they started today. Only so few with that gift.

most important ones IMO are Rag, Sylv.....after that if you want to play Handlock craft Jaraxxus or Demonlock too. TBK is very useful. I haven't played with boom but I know it's pretty good. Gromm is also really good but obviously only good with one class. I personally like the neutral legendaries better b/c I play almost every hero class.

-Dr. Boom
-Vol'jin

Which would give a complete Priest Control and Priest Deathrattle deck for anti-aggro early in seasons. I would avoid Antonidas unless you just love aggro. TBK is an easy avoid right now as it's specific tech against Handlock/Druid mostly but this will change. Geddon is also questionable in Warrior right now and it's his only deck so I would avoid. Boom is the best flex pick at the moment and can be good filler in lots of decks if you're missing legendaries.

Harrison is very relevant tech for lots of decks so he could be a flex pick but that could change with how Mage is coming back in the meta + Snowchugger making weapons worse.

Handlock would probably be a value choice in terms of how close you are in dust. I would only build Rag when you start going after Warrior, he's only in Warrior and the slower Hunter decks right now.

So I have a 64.5% winrate over 60 games with my combo Druid at rank 3, is it crazy to think that I can improve my winrate with a better meta choice deck or should I just grind to legend?

Finally got my first Golden Hero - Druid.
For last 10 wins i used very fast deck for which i dont know where did i get.
I get from 9 to 5th rank while doing this.

Speaking of mech mages, i went 4-1 vs them i think, and most games i forced a mage to topdecking while i was on 12-16hp range so i think overall this deck is quite decent vs them.

Thanks. I was thinking boom, sylvannas and gromm. I made some very poor crafting decisions when I was in closed beta and wanted to play fun (murloc and miracle) decks. I crafted a ton of epics I ended up opening, and a Leeroy which is now trash.
