I also have had a tough time climbing ranks. Been playing mostly spell hunter, going to mix in some odd rogue I think. Pretty much will streak up to R6 2* and then lose 6 straight in what feels like unwinnable matchups. The deck has great matchups but if you don't get early Rexxar vs control or a full spellstone on curve it just goes nowhere. Playing against these odd and mech warriors is just long wars of attrition that you lose unless you have Rexxar.

Odd warrior is my favorite deck right now, I just had a game where I went toe to toe boom versus DS rexxar in top deck wars and I fatigued him with basically just a super collider. The microbot + mech pressure and the armor gain is too much.

I hope this deck sticks around, I’m kind of skeptical though. Can’t survive in a heavy quest rogue meta, probably why You see it’s numbers drop off at legend

44-32 with my updated version of my big spell mage grinding rank 10 up to rank 3 now:

Lottt of choices you can make here. MVP so far has actually been omega defender (and archmage antonidus which i mentioned earlier) - omega defender is a 13/7 with keleseth on turn 10 for {4} or {1} and usually demands hex or siphon, opening up a lich king or ysera followup

Good timing for the group pity party, finally winstreaked to r5 with odd rogue. Farmed like 6 hunters in a row to do it. Sometimes it just happens.

I'm probably just going to do it in Wild. I'm like 32-5 with star alinger druid starting at r25. Deck is dumb and I feel bad farming randoms in wild but meh.

I have a weird OCD thing about collecting classic packs through quests and weekly brawls that I don't open them until I have at least 40 so I can guarantee a legendary.

Just got 40 and 41. Still missing Cenarius, Greenskin, Hogger and Gruul. Get hyped

Didn't realize Quest Rogue was back in meta. I've been playing like 20 games a month at lmao ranks with Miracle Rogue, which I understand is bottom of tier 4 now.

Have played about 20 games with the new QR build and it feels stronger than before despite 2 nerfs and it still being weak to aggro. I only queued into one control warrior, too, and it feels like an unlosable matchup. I suppose all decks with Giggling are pretty good right now.

I think it's weird that Firefly used to be the best card in the deck and now isn't standard.

Giggling is incredibly good. One card that is extremely sticky, goes wide, and taunts. It's good in almost every situation. Mech synergy on top of that if you can make use of it.

It's almost like everyone knew that card would be OP before the expansion came out but they didn't care or listen to feedback. It will take it hard, can't think how though.

And I don't expect QR to get nerfed with only 8 months left before rotation.

HS loves its power creep and OP cards. The game has a long history of making cards that are so good their use expands well beyond intended (Patches, Giggling, Tar Creeper) and it's shown in their extreme nerfs (5/5 becomes a 2/5 and is still played, 5-mana cards move to 8 mana).

Token druid I guess is combo? It plays differently than any other "token" deck I've played. It feels absurdly strong.

yeah but it doesn't play like that.

it's not like token shaman where you're constantly putting 2-3 minions on the board every turn; it's not like zoo; it's not like the old token druid with flappy bird and Patches; and it's not like a token deck (which plays like a midrange deck) in TESL either.

it's more of an OTK than anything.

Vs. any reasonably aggro/tempo deck you're always starting out behind and playing control, and basically waiting for a swing turn. You're ramping, you're gathering resources, you're playing defense, then you have a board. You get a couple of buffs in hand and all of a sudden, you can kill the other guy.

Finally grinded it out to dad legend with spell hunter. Have to admit I enjoy playing that deck. Death knights make for some pretty long and wild games. Nothing like binking Tundra Rhino + lifesteal to stay alive.

It's a bit RPS-y but I like this meta overall I'd say. Feels like there are chances for most decks to win.
