Pretty good example of why lightning storm is bad compared to a single target removal just came up in game i played. was against board of murlocs that has a warleader on it, if i had stormed, missed the 50/50 on the warleader i just lost the game on the spot....instead hex and a taunt ate the dudes.

i do hope new expanision adds more reciprocal board clears (like twisting nether, dragonfire, volcano, volcanic potion) as they're kinda high skill cards and don't make the game feel too one sided. it feels super bad when they highroll clear your board off lightning storm or just keep freezing you.

Rogue minion 3 mana 2/3 - combo give a friendly minion poisonous

Shaman weapon 3 mana 1/3 - destroy all frozen minions that are damaged by this weapon

Both kinda weird, Rogue one could see play in a tempo deck perhaps.

Rogue minion looks great in arena but I have a hard time envisioning what sort of ladder deck it fits into. Maybe a jade deck or an elemental/tempo rogue.

Think the biggest problem for midrange/control shaman is that its actually unfavored against token which iirc the opposite of all the other metas where heavier shamans crushed the aggro ones. Devolve totally ruins the spirit echo gameplan, and even with portals/storms/volcano, token shaman can just continuously develop wide boards.

seems bad even with more shaman freeze. envenom weapon seems better in a vacuum and sees little constructed play AFAIK, and anything that requires another effect to be good is trash in arena

plus shaman already has the best card for removal in the game

Was really confused when they previewed lifesteal and it was for the two best healing classes in the game. Warlock really needs heal pretty bad, so feel like that card has potential. Depends how the DK Warlock powers works I guess.

Potential for some sort of DK Shaman freeze antics as well?

even if that's only on average a 3/6 that's not a bad card. 6 health is an amazing stat line. 3/6 trades so nicely and the added heal is good for warlock. It's just hard to gauge how good/bad warlock is going to be at this point.

I am absolutely ****ing terrified of that shaman card, not because of the card, but its implications. Freeze in shaman? Oh please mother of god **** no.

The warlock card obviously hinges on getting more good cards for discolock. As is it seems bad but given how terrible the mechanic was for Un'goro I expect more to come and it'll probably be at least decent. Granted I crafted Clutchmother because I thought it'd be the best thing ever so what do I know.

Only the rogue minion might be good imo.

The shaman weapon needs a reliable tool to freeze minions, and even if they make one, hitting multiple big minions with your face is not very appealing and shaman already has good removal.

Blood Queen is as expensive as a doomguard and has no immediate effect. The good cards for discolock are cards that you dont mind discarding (silverware golem) or that you want to play before discarding stuff (malchezaar imp). This is neither, when it starts in your hand you'll often discard it and cry.

Edit: new death's bite seems good!

new deaths bite seems like it immediately slots into taunt warrior. Token hate (not that taunt warrior really needed it), great synergy with sleep w/ fishes, acolyte, execute, etc. I'm hoping tempo warrior somehow makes a comeback, and if so this seems like it would work great with battle rage.

I just can't see discolock benefiting from that legendary. Toss a bunch of cards away to get to your only good threat.

It's like mirage caller but worse. At least you can make a copy of your ticking abomination and wipe your own board for 10! I'm just dumbfounded by this card. Why not just run a faceless?

Only thing I can think of is maybe there's some synergy if you run all the princes? Are there more? I don't know the lore at all.
