Seems weird that they are doing this double gold event without a corresponding gold sink heroic tavern brawl or something. I'm barely even playing and still have 4k+ gold for packs for the new expansion and a few thousand dust.

Had a knife juggler, macaw, and wolf on board. Hunter opponent has secret up.

I have 4 mana, play hyena hyena, attack with the wolf hoping to pop the explosive - it explodes and everything dies and both hyenas don't buff.

Lol insta concede.

Unless you know you are currently close to opening 40 packs without a legendary, then wouldn't you want to open until you get a legendary then wait so you can get two relatively quickly? Unfortunately I have no idea where i'm at.

Fun, obscure fact I just learned that may have already been common knowledge:

When midnight PDT rolls over, you get a new quest. If you're in a game when this happens, any actions in the game will count towards that quest. But, it's retroactive regardless of when the game started.

Example: I am playing aggro druid. I finish the game at 12:02 am. Most of the game happened in the 4-5 mins before 12 am. I played 7 total druid cards in the game and I got all 7 of the cards towards my new "play 30 druid cards" quest I acquired at midnight.

no idea it worked that way but always wondered.

About a year ago when I was solely playing arena, I had 350+ unopened packs at one point. It was such an effort and took so long to open them all that I recommend nobody ever lets it get to that point.

reasons, imo:

Few archetypes per class. Basically if you want to ladder you can play some version of control mage, aggro druid, or token shaman. Paladin is the exception but all the lists run very similar cards.

Been thinking about this for the past few days (rather than actually playing HS) and I think I disagree with this as ironic as that sounds (I've never been so bored with the game as to actually not bother playing). We all lived through secret paladin/patron warrior, that was definitely worse. This one has just sort of run out of steam. It was fun and fun for longer than the last couple of metas at least imo

I think the top decks are extremely boring to play as well. Kind of like mid shaman at the height of its dominance.

And I don't know what you guys are seeing but it's totally a shaman meta right now

Maybe if there was a cheap spell that destroyed your weapon and did damage equal to its attack to all enemies.

Yes. If they have a two damage plus aoe they would be sick but it's why rogue and Druid don't have great aoe options, their cards are really good and rogue even has really sick delay and removal that Druid don't have.

Rogue would be the best class by far if they had good AOE. Just as a frame of reference, Thalnos+fan is insanely powerful. Idk the VS data but I think token shaman was pretty close to 50/50 vs pre-nerf quest rogue cause of vanish and vanish is terrible aoe. I'm not opposed to them having well implemented AOE just dunno how it would be done.

The class minions are insanely powerful and rogue has really cheap ways of dealing tons of damage to a target. They also have the best single target removal. Like, ping+petal+evis+evis or leeroy coldblood to the face is a pyroblast worth of damage for half the mana cost.

This festival just illustrates my supreme lack of skill at arena. I'm really bad at it and I feel like I also draft really bad decks to compound it. Even using Heartharena for help doesn't really improve it for me.
