King dred's baseline power is nuts. I don't know if he'll see regular play but I wouldn't dust. I'd maybe dust him for crafting a more relevant legendary if your collection is lacking though.

I never keep golden legendaries and have never once regretted dusting one. I'd rather have a complete set of normal cards rather than fancy gold ones. I do keep some gold cards I like though.

I think my brain broke once I hit r5. I've played probably my highest volume month ever and I've hit r4 one star once and the ranked floor probably 20+ times. I'm getting high rolled by every deck every game. Just lost to quest rogue when I had a t1 10/10 Edwin. And followed it up with two big questings.

Does King Dred actually win you games? My brief experience using King Dred was underwhelming. Awesome card but it seemed he never made an impact. With hunter every game is won or lost by turn 7 anyway.

In theory it just locks down the board in tight games vs aggro but it seems you can play around it a lot.

Still wouldn't dust it.

I'm at 7 life and repping lethal on board vs pirate warrior. He has no board, 7 mana, 5/1 Reaper, and 3 cards.

PW always has 2 damage from 3 cards right? Two of which he's held since turn 5.

He ropes and goes Upgrade!, Fiery War Axe and Heroic strike.

I've seen so many decks lately that try to do everything, it's a little bizarre.

Some kind of mage that ran 2x volcanic potion, 2x blizzard and Medivh. Silence priest with dragons. And of course every pally deck tries to do everything.

so, anyone actually pulling decent ranks with hunter? I really like the deck (it kinda plays itself, but there are some interesting decision points), but it was gettin destroyed by pally and burn mage, might be better now

btw swamp king is completely unplayable, it just doesn't fit current midrange version of hunter. I'm not even playing calls of the wild to ensure perfect early curve.

Yeah I was excited to make Hunter my next 500 win class but it just gets rekt so hard by paladins and they're ****ing everywhere on ladder

I actually got back to rank 2 playing hunter.

It's heavily teched to beat paladins, 2 hungry crabs and 1 Tol'vir Warden. Tol'vir pulls crab most of the time unless I've already drawn 2. I'm also running Vicious Fledgling, which gives it some snowball potential.

Also it's fine against mages so far; I just beat one who was BMing me after his double Mana Wyrm into glyph into glyph into mirror image had me down to 11 health on turn 3. I had a handful of Grandmothers, Razorclaws and Hyenas.

Yeah Anamolus seems like easy dust. The rest I might keep.

Hunter is fine, just tech in crabs for Murlocs and you can handle pally. High roll Razormaw adapts and it can be gg on turn two.

I'm in a similar spot, back to r5.

I lost to a quest hunter and then the next game I lost to a hunter who had this sequence for win:

He's topdecking, sitting with Smuggler's Crate in hand. Top decks his 2nd Highmane, which becomes an 8/7. He needs 2 turns to kill me and I can kill him next turn. He already used Kill Commands.

He top decks Macaw into Razorclaw into Windfury.

Pyros is only good in a few situations but mainly Arena where you need the value. Standard is just too fast and paying 2 mana for a 2/2, 6 mana for a 6/6 and 10 mana for a 10/10 just isn't good value in a fast meta; it's great that it's one card but other than that it blows.

Yeah I think the issue isn't so much the card itself but rather that minion-based mage builds (as opposed to spell-based) just aren't very good lately.

I think it would be great in arena, It's great for your curve, but legendary so glgl pulling it

Pyros is seeing play in secret mage. It helps fill in the curve when you dump your hand early.

That Nzoth elemental mage wants to be good but just isn't.

Dragon mage, especially Reno dragon, was actually a good deck but never made it big because mages have better options. As I mentioned before, the fundamental problem with elementals is they're understand for curve. Dragons also have conditionals, but are overstatted.

Toast and I have both been between ranks 5-2 for the past 4 days so it was bound to happen. I queued into him while he was playing a crazy elemental rogue deck.

He got me, vilespined my 14/7 Hyena.
