I'm just in a bad spot I guess, totally burned out trying to grind to 500 shaman wins. But I can't see continuing to play this game post xpac if I'm still queueing into PW every other game so I really hope you're right.

As long as ladder rewards fast decks over slower decks with higher winrates this will be a problem.

if they havent released all the fun cards the expansion might be ok, especially if the power level stays relatively in check.

I love the new ranked locks on ladder. Makes the trip to rank 5 much easier. I think the weakness of most players at ranks 6-10 by the end of the season is that they don't mulligan properly. I just went undefeated with jade druid from rank 10 to 5 in a few hours today, even against multiple pirate warriors. So many of my opponents seemed to curve out poorly so I assume it was due to mulligans (and some luck of course).

I long ago started going to rank 5 on both ladders without too much difficulty, people have massive leaks even at r5.

What sucks is after 5. It changes into 75% PW or whatever the dominant deck is and you're forced to get really good at the mirror and punish people trying other decks. This month i mercifully hit 5 pretty quick so i could stop playing

The new thresholds dont do crap to fix the real problem

Yeah I got to legend once and have no interest in doing it again. The combination of the nerfs and ladder ranked locks have noticeably improved deck diversity on ladder and made the game a bit more interesting.
