In murloc paladin, you're not necessarily making even trades. You're Aldoring the opponent to 1 attack first. Turn 5 Finja, followed by turn 6 Aldor and Warleader and you can trade with a 4 health minion. And if warleader is out, any removal is going to target warleader instead of Finja (opponent doesn't want +2 attack on 2 newly drawn murlocs), so the Finja can survive to trade one more time.
Paired with equality and you can trade with any health minion, though you only get one proc that way.
Plus, you're really just setting up for Anyfin, so getting your murlocs out earlier is always a good thing. Big negative is that this card is useless on your Anyfin turn, clogging up your board.
The entire reason an Anyfin deck runs so much draw is because their win condition is a 5 or 6 card combo. This card can be used instead of the 5 mana "draw 2 cards that costs less for each minion that dies" card because you can be guaranteed to get 2 murlocs, instead of just hoping.
It's a neutral minion, though, so I have no idea how well it'll work with other classes.
