It's been forever since I've been >rank 8 this late in the season. Seeing like rank 30 plays from shaman at this level. Can only assume they got here because you can basically click buttons and win games with it.

Getting pretty tired of queueing into 4 shamans in a row, which happens a lot.

So counter them with freeze mage

I'm ok with freeze mage and it's still not that easy of a matchup, and there are some sequences of draws where you absolutely cannot win

been playing freeze all day because i have yet to see a warrior and it's really satisfying BMing shamen

and not to mention freeze is meh against everything else

i just lost to turn 4 druid

turn 1 - living roots
turn 2 - power of the wild minion
turn 3 - living roots, power of the wild buff
turn 4 - savage roar

there is literally no defense to that. and you get similar bull**** losses like that to bloodlust which apparently every shaman runs now

lol im not. most have it as like a 10:9 favorite freeze mage. and since freeze mage has some pretty atrocious matchups across the other ladder. i really wouldnt recommend trying to climb w it. just doing it out of spite right now

If youre not winning minimum 70% of the time in that matchup, you're definitely making a good amount of mistakes. The best freeze mage players have up to 80%, depending on the shaman tech choices.

I like my dragon control shaman as a counter to MR Shaman but I hate decks that go to fatigue all the time.

think it's funny when people say they play well in HS. if you knew the better play you'd usually do it so unless you have someone really, really good review your plays and agree with you, saying you play your deck well is meaningless. considering you don't think freeze mage is very good vs mr shaman it leads me to believe you play the deck badly.

We've been down this path before. Random ladder donk vs random ladder donk of course it won't be as high as it "should".

Lol where the **** did i say that? I said it is slightly favored but due to atrocious matchups across the rest of classes it's an absolutely terrible ladder choice. Because someone said "lol play freeze mage" to counter the flood of shaman on ladder like that's actually an easy or even recommendable thing to do right now.

It's not even close to 70-80%. If the freeze mage plays PERFECTLY against an average shaman with a build thats not running bloodlust id cap it at 60%. It's literally the only deck in the game that can claim that.

Fwiw i'm like 8-4 today vs shaman but i ran good. Ended up like 52% overall.

the funniest part is the shaman only needs to make the most minor of minor tech choices and it's much closer to 50/50 and people talk like it's such a hard counter to the deck

Yeah, I think the freeze effect is pretty valuable so might end up running one blizzard.

I also thought about running 2 frost novas tbh. Sounds weird but idk. Buys you time to set up and clear board or just push for lethal.
