i played pirate warrior yesterday and went from rank 20 to rank 11 in like 30 mins. anyone that claimed this is a control meta is out of their minds, aggro is mindnumbingly dumb and strong

I just logged in to knock out a quest, chose PW, went 1-4, logged off. MM is rigged and I will never be convinced otherwise.

The new expansion has been ok for me. Not as fun as UG was, but I'm enjoying big priest and the challenge of creating an acceptable DK Jaina deck.

With all that said, Howlfiend into Treachery into Defile when there are a bunch of minions on deck with health that makes sense and your opponent has lots of cards is worth the expansion in and of itself.

You can go from rank 20 to 11 in 30 mins with any deck at this point of the season.

There has never been so many greedy decks on ladder.

Brutal, just got stomped by aggro druid that went corsair/patches into two of those + crypt + lotus real quick w innervates... Not sure how you're supposed to beat that...

the game is in a really bad state right now. I am not confident in team 5's ability to fix this, because it's not one specific card - it's like 4 of them.

I think spreading plague is more of a issue than UI actually.
I have been playing jade druid and currently have 70% Winrate versus pirate warrior at rank 4.
Basically hard Milligan for it or for crypt lord and they don't stand a chance.
Generally finding that plague stalls the board until I can get some jades on the board
Then I am running bonemare also, so that plus scales normally seals the deal
Token druid might even be stronger than jade druid to be honest. Spreading plague plus innervate and a buff card is insane

I've been saying the same about spreading plague for a while now, if you watch my stream you know how much i passionately hate that card lol

i actually think UI is fine because it's a 10 mana card. It's spreading plague and malfurion that allow you to stall the game long enough to make UI very easy to get to. That's not even addressing how versatile and broken malfurion is - a tank up or +3 damage a turn. For 7 mana that comes with bodies that have 12 stats. It's obscene.

anyway, has anyone actually tried control/fatigue warrior in this meta? with 2x skulking geist and dead man's hand you should in theory beat druid, the only terrible mu i can think of is midrange murlocs, which isn't that popular itm

the way I see it you could build the deck in 2 ways, either more cycle/combo with dk, double battle rage, double blood warriors and double arcane giant (or mb even pyromancers and shouts), or more vanillia version with just removal and some heavy value on top (ysera+lich king for example). First one seems stronger, but has much higher skill cap, but the 2nd one should also be playable.

I'd try it myself, but I haven't played control warrior since jades came out (duh) and I'm missing tons of cards, so I dont want to spend 5k dust on useless cards. Would be shame, though, classic control warrior was my favourite archetype.

On a happier note I do like how noggenfogger has become a tiny bit relevant this exp. Won a couple of games vs aggro as evolve shaman because of it and just got wrecked as exodia mage vs a priest who got two noggenfoggers from free from amber.

The complaints about druid overshadow the fact that the rest of the set sucks, too.

Just realized that Anduin DK + Raza is super fun with inspire cards. Been super effective too (at rank 25 wild lolz)

Idk priest and pally are basically fine and warlock got some help. Rogue/mage sans exodia/warrior sans pirate /shaman got f'ed. Hunter probably f'ed too. I definitely think the meta was healthier before the expansion but hopefully they'll fix Druid soon. I hate playing it but it's so good and easy to play.

Dk cards are legit, Lich king is legit but they needed a few more good cards to save a few classes.

I played today after a month long break and I have the same thoughts as before:
exodia mage:you have to burst the mage before he complete his quest,then your only chance is if anto is not in his hand.
Or tech eater of secret.
it feels awfull playing against it and it feels awfull to integrate eater of secret in every deck.

doppelganger+evolve:why the hell the copies are 5 mana ?
its 6 mana=18 mana

This new expansion has really ramped up the power creeping,this doesnt feel good at all.
I get it that they have to sell cards and better cards mean better sales, but this is terrible for the game.

Anyway I had fun today cause it was 1st day I played,but I think im gonna get bored faster than for the previous expansions.

Doppelgänger can come from other things and it's a typically worst cast scenario for something like firelance portal. It is a ton of value and a possible game winning combo but it's results are not very consistent and if you don't draw it and you build your deck round it, the deck isn't nearly that great.

Thrall deathseer has made it way more consistent. It's ****ty matchups with druid is the only thing stopping that from being a really dominant deck.

I fired up Shaman for a "play 50 Shaman Cards" quest, it felt OK against non druids and non mages. The druid wasn't even jade druid, just had a ****load of taunts. I lost. Mage somehow was able to dump even more minions onto the board than I could and I lost. Crushed rogue and another Shaman though.

Ok going off with a 0 mana Anduin DK with paletress in play is so fun, can get 2-4 legendaries out at a time its ridiculous, also works well with kodo rider.
