lol, firebat just avoided popping his opponent's ice block for an extra like two turns trying to play around eater of secrets, his opponent ended up not having it. firebat sits at 9 health with 2 secrets up and says "we dont lose here" opponent kills him because he didn't have his own ice block.

firebat didnt know he didnt have an ice block. Lol. I feel much better about my on stream blunders now

it's ****ing amazing for hunter. the 3 drop has been weak forever. It's an important turn for hunter because it leads into houndmaster. An untargettable 6/5 minion is basically the end of the game.

You can also target it still with razormaw leading to more broken shenanigans. It's super duper solid. Even without the card text it would've been borderline playable. The best thing hunter has at 3 right now is rat pack.

will hunter be good again? I doubt it though

Taunt/Mill Druid with Hadronox+Naturalize?

Can't really think of any other way in which this card will be playable? The proc seems way too inconsistent and even then, playing it on 9 gives your opponent a turn to silence or return to hand.

Feel like I'm taking crazy pills. That card is playable but does nothing to solve hunter's problems. Right now if hunter loses turn 1/2 vs other aggro decks it can almost never recover, and this doesn't change that. This is a strong t3 play if already ahead, and terrible if behind. If it was 3/4 maybe it could survive long enough to get buffed, but it does nothing to help with hunters lack of comeback cards and binary gameplay. Its a 3 mana faerie dragon that requires a 2nd card to make it good.

Also, hunter 3 drop slot is jam packed, AC, KC, bow, UTH, rat pack, sometimes deadly shot, sometimes even carrion grub. New legendary might even bring huntress back into the meta although I doubt it. None of these are amazing and a lot are situational, but 3-drops were never the issue. That said, i think it probably replaces rat pack because rat pack is pretty crappy overall imo. What hunter really needs are strong 1 and 2 drops that can better fight for board and a 4 drop that isn't houndmaster. A decent 2 mana weapon would also help a ton. Bat sucks, macaw is ok but is a 1/1, alleycat is solid but not great, razormaw is good but requires a beast to live t1, hyena sucks unless you can combo it, and grandmother is mediocre.

Card will be dank if build-a-beast becomes a thing though since its got good stats and the can't be targeted tag. Also seems solid against stuff like mage/rogue/priest/non-aggro druid.

I think Nonfiction's right - the 4-drop is the real problem slot for hunter because it's literally just Houndmaster, which is useless if you've already lost the board.

I remember Dispatch Kodo getting a lot of hype but don't seem to see many lists running it.

Nonfiction makes good points, the three drop is really crowded currently for hunter. I think it is still a decent card.

Druid legendary I think is playable.

It's like the slowest card ever printed. You play a 9 mana 3/7 (!!!) and you'll have to wait 2 turns to get it killed which is the actual pay off.

Taunt Druid would suck to both play and play against so I'm glad it'll likely be worthless.

Did you even read my post?

I said the card is good. It is. I said nothing about hunters other problems or whether it'll fix them.

Eaglehorn is not a 3 drop beast. Hounds is situational. There's really just animal companion which is rng heavy and also a spell.

Both look playable although I hate the 3 hp for Fatespinner. Seems like even though you do it secretly based on board state it'll be really easy to figure out what you or your opponent selected.

I think the Archer looks decent. 7 mana 6-7 is slightly over costed but you could get a good beast (like potential to get although this would only fit in a mid range/control type hunter deck and not the aggro ones. Like if you play Tundra Rhino or Highmane, the payoff could be game changing. Obviously with all the **** cards hunter plays, on average the average beast might not be that great but worth at least a mana and possibly up to 6 or giving your 6-7 charge.

I know silence is already back, but they keep adding cards that should get silenced.

The game is balanced around not getting them so I'd have to imagine worse, but there would be some crazy interactions. Running Barnes and Deathwing in the same deck probably isn't a good idea anymore.
