Yeah big druid I def saw by at least Savjz very early in this meta.

jmakin: how were you misusing Lyra previously? I typically either tempo her out if I've seen some opponent removal burned already or wait for a big turn with power word or circle of healing so I can at least get 2+ spells out with her on board.

i save spells in hand more often unless I absolutely need to use them

i also try not to play radiant elementals if i have her in hand. certain combos are really good and i try to play toward them - lyra + elemental + pw:shield is one

also waiting for later mana turns to go off with lyra is sometimes better. if you have lyra + radiant elemental and have 3 mana left, you can basically play almost any priest spell you get off of her. binking divine spirit from the combo is basically game winning so i try to get as many spells in 1 turn as i can

I'm new to Lyra but I find it depends on the matchup. Vs hunter for example you can sometimes stick it on turn 4-5 and if so the game is over. In more control matchups I like to save for a big turn. On 10 mana If I'm holding two radiants and the board isn't scary I like to drop 1 the turn before I plan Lyra because it they don't answer it your next turn is bananas.

I was actually super bored and basically quit hs having only opened Orzuk as a Goro legendary over 40+ packs, but I logged back on and bought two packs with my remaining gold and got golden lyra so now I'm addicted again lol.

the goofiest stuff happens from ungoro packs (the card) too.

one game I got seeming garbage - TWO 3/4 beasts that adapt your silverhands, the 3/2 beast that adapts a beast, and orzruk. One other card I can't remember.

So I played the two 3/4 beasts and he drops a ysera on me. Crackling razormaw, adapt poison. Byebye ysera.

later I did a huge lyra + 2 radiants turn, and got a 5/20 orzruk into a concede. lol

i might do -1 defender of argus for +1 hungry crab

is that insane? 50% of my matchups today over 20 games were against paladin. I have to look but it was like 9 or 10 games. the rest were druids/mages which are auto wins but the paladin matchup feels straight up unwinnable.

if you don't mulligan potion of madness and draw into dragon fire, you just lose. I also don't think there was one game where they didnt open with the tidecaller into some other murloc.

if you lose board in first 4 turns you're usually dead before you can dragonfire pot.

cool read, 2 notes:

1) I don't like mire keeper in the ramp druid set (listed here), compared to Jade Blossom it's a gain a mana crystal 3/3 for {4}, vs. a gain a mana crystal 1/1 for {3}, but a major poisoning of barnes.

2) On the note of Barnes, look at how good he would be in purify priest:



Same concept as in Big EZ druid, barnes into a big creature silence (and we're already running 2 {0} mana silences!) is a win condition. Even if you don't tech into bigger creatures, look at how good Barnes would be in this deck in place of one of the shamblers.

Barnes + Cleric: 3/4, 1/1 card draw if left alive
Barnes + Ancient Watcher + Silence: 3/4 & 4/5 on turn 4 for 2 cards
Barnes + Humongous Razorleaf + Silence: 3/4 & 4/8 on turn 4 for 2 cards

Radiant elemental can be good, acolyte is a free (possibly more than one) card draw, Tar creeper is a deceptively good 3/4 & 3/1 with taunt on opponent's turn, Lyra can just win the game especially late game if you draw Barnes late and still have Lyra

it's amazing how bad arena players are. at the same time, i hate arena lol. i had a run tonight where 3 people missed lethal me vs me or lethal setups. a few had legend cardbacks too. why are arena players so obssesed with trading?

Logged in today for the first time in a month (was in Las Vegas for WSOP with very bad wifi).

Picked up on a 3-0 Rogue Arena run and won vs. a hunter despite disconnecting off the mulligan.

I'm going to be pretty salty if Miracle Rogue is really bad right now, it's almost all I played last month before stopping around June 15 or so (hit rank 5 as always lol).

I predicted weeks ago that the "Big Druid" deck would be a tournament success and it looks like it's finally coming to fruition.

i've been 5-6 wins away from legend for like 3 days playing priest. I could switch to like druid and probably bang it out in an hour but i am so determined to do it with priest

Yea I only am getting auto hosted but it happens almost every single time I log in now. Sometimes it's only for like 10 viewers but yesterday's was huge for me. He likes watching and supporting smaller streams because that's how he got real big in hearthstone I think. He was famous from starcraft but i dont think he streamed it ever.

He's my favorite, idk why. We're similar personalities. I was really flattered to get put on the auto host list. Not sure how it happened

Afaik there is no mmr in arena. So the first match you play vs 100% of the player pool. After that it matches up based on your wins for that arena alone.

There's a reason arena pros can get a 70% long term winrate.

I kind of stopped playing arena because I felt like it was making me play ****ty in constructed

why are there so many ****ing jade druids on ladder? It's not even good in the 5-1 meta right now. It's ridiculous.

I am playing a version without jade spirit and had pyromancer in it instead. I am actually 9-0 v pirates with it as it's so effective and clearing for a druid

There's a new 4 mana 5/6 deathrattle deal 5 damage to your own minions. Awful card though.

Idk, it's doing well in tournies as and as other mentioned it wrecks all the freeze and burn type decks for mage which are ultra popular. It also has good win rates against a number of decks and a shot against many aggro with all the heal it runs. I'm not a fan of the deck but hasn't it also killed many of the greedy control decks or even taunt warrior especially in tournaments?
