I've been playing some hybrid hunter and getting absolutely pooped on by control warrior and handlock. Is that to be expected or am I doing something wrong?

I almost want to stop running freezing trap cause its used so often against me to bounce taunt enablers or healers.

Combo druid is decent vs. Handlock and excellent vs. CW

Roping is annoying, but I what I do is wait 2-3 turns to make sure they are doing it on purpose and then just start doing it back to them. 9/10 times they stop right away, give it a try. It's also satisfying when you play out the rest of the game without incident and then you rope your final turn lethal just to pay them back for being a dickhead.

Also annoying is when someone bluffs lethal. I just had a freeze mage emote "well played" and then hold a spell card on my face on two consecutive turns. Like, I'm never ever going to tilt concede to that frostbolt you're repping, hurry the **** up.

Variance maybe? I run a train over warlock of any kind with my hunter. It's by far my most favorable matchup. Tapping is suicide.

yeah, hunters are handlock's worst nightmare

Played spectacularly with Bobbo tonight. Some highlights:
Handlock is DOB and I have 3 Violent Teach students and one has an oil buff. I run my 4/1 into his 8/1 and am bedazzled that our math was wrong.

Instead of playing ERF to heal against aggro pally, I play a uncomboed SI:7.

Fun times!

Was just 2 wins from legend and took a 6 loss downswong wherein I lost to three consecutive topdeck miracles against various legend people and then a series of impossible to win games against face hunter.

Frustrating.

just made the biggest misplay i've made in awhile. plan was to freeze left 3 minions, bgh, then stealth the bgh. unfortunately that doesn't actually work

Roping back is moronic. Ignore them watch a movie at the same time or any other multitasking. Getting bothered by emote spam or Roping is as pathetic as the act itself. Worrying and caring about it is silly and unproductive.

Roping back is entirely not moronic when the entire point is to get them to stop. You can either play the whole match with them roping you every turn, or you can do it back to them for a turn or two and have them cut it out. Clearly it speeds up the game. When I'm playing HS I want to play HS, not browse 2p2 on the side or whatever. As for roping the final turn if you have lethal, admittedly that is immature, but I find it fun to give them a little taste of their own medicine, so whatever.

I ve played 12 or 13K games of hearthstone , people roping every turn is a very rare occurence.

roping back will be most of the time be vs opponents who went to grab a beer after mulliganing. when you "rope back" you waste your own time and you dont stop anything they are only back if front of their computer.

now you can rage in front of your keyboard or learn to deal with it.

Do you even reading comprehension? I said I waited 2-3 turns to make sure they were doing it on purpose. And a lot of times these guys are emoting at the same time so you can be pretty certain. I also don't recall saying I "rage." It's a minor annoyance. Roping them back for one or two turns to speed up the rest of the game is not wasting time.

Spending 90 seconds doing absolutely nothing is not wasting time. OK

I saw Savjz playing a paladin control deck with ancient watchers and decided to try it. The list looks so janky on paper (no musters or shieldbots, ancient watcher in pally, wtf???) but I've been wrecking with it (10-2ish, lol variance I guess).



Just now I played a freeze mage and I'm having a hard time imagining how I could possibly lose that matchup with all this heal. Vs aggro you really want to get an early watcher+activator, otherwise you can be in pretty bad shape, but if you drop watcher into coghammer on turns 2 and 3 its almost a win right there.

Then I played handlock and figured I wouldn't have a chance but this deck has so much control and card advantage I managed to neutralize all his threats and then eventually draw into the lay's and win from there.

I have more than 10k games so far and i dont remember someone ropeing every turn for an entire match. First 2-3 turns? Yeah. When opponent saw he doesnt have a chance and ropes last 2-3 turns? Yeah, mostly in arena.

Im playin on EU, is US really so much worse that this is actually a problem?

Usually us players are nicer than eu ones in most games so i really doubt it.

Can't wait for the day when a minion comes out that has "Taunt. Can't be silenced." And face hunter just dies instantly.

I just conceded on turn 6 of a Control warrior mirror match even though I was ahead by about 20 effective health and I feel absolutely great about it.

edit: it got me a head start on the next match, which is yet another mirror. I'm currently on turn 6 and I'm considering conceding this one too. It's about the most unenjoyable matchup in the game as far as I'm concerned. Not worth the chance to gain 1 star.

Just looking at the list, I can definitely see it work. I heard bobbo mention something about his ancient watcher pally list, so I'm curious to see if this is similar. I love the fact you can proc the taunt/divine shield on an ancient watcher and it puts the hunter in an awkward situation...they silence it and now you get a 2 mana yeti love it.

I wonder if having a second piloted shredder is better then emperor though...
