Obviously different but it reminds me of the video poker tables from years ago. I remember see these for the first time at Mohegan Sun (before they opened their poker room). Was never a fan of the video poker tables, just doesn't feel right playing "live" poker with no cards / chips.

I didn't see it mentioned, but for DaVinci, Modiano, and Fournier, you can often find them on Amazon. I almost exclusively use DaVinci bridge sized cards, but I may order a set-up of Fournier the next time I need cards (which will likely be soon as mine last night were getting a little worn).

Based on CdnBeerLover's recommendation (but have also read elsewhere that they were nice), I picked up a set of Forunier Congress Bridge Size Jumbo Index cards from eBay last night (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fournier-con...item3a9795f43f)

Will let you know how it turns out.

Also, my order from Caragails arrived. Picked up 1546 Copag, Desjgn classic victorians, and Modiano club decks. Played a few orbits last night with my "imaginary" poker buddies. Bastards made me deal the entire time.

First impressions, the Desjgn deck is really nice. Verdict is still out on the Poker Size cards as I am accustomed to bridge size since the casinos use them. I definitely prefer the jumbo index / large index over regular though. Slide very well on the felt.

Yes, the Modiano's are thicker which is nice but one thing that stuck out was how visible the "fibers" were. Probably not describing them well but they felt rough because the cards aren't smooth. I think this is one of the reasons why they didn't slide very well on the felt.

As for the Copags, everyone seems to rag on them but this deck looked nice, felt nice, etc...yes, a bit thinner than the others. Maybe others were complaining about the longevity of the cards. Time will tell. Again, slide with no issues on the felt.

Looking forward to the Fournier Congress cards.

None of those cards are bad. They all do the job quite well. But I really like the balance of feel, thickness, and unusual styling of the Desjgn cards. My decks have held up very well.

I've never seen Fournier cards of any type.

Definitely harder to find. I thought Modiano's were tough to find but Fourniers take the cake. Caragails has some in stock but most are the Bike/Fournier Prestige cards.

There is a thread over at Chiptalk where someone was looking for recommendations and most people who replied said Fournier WSOP cards were the bee knees. Kinda expensive though.

How about this. When my Fournier deck arrives, I will mail you the joker or advertising cards so you can get a feel for them. Let me know.

Some of the Bicycle Prestige cards are made by Fournier for USPCC. If the packaging says "Cards made in Spain", then I believe they are Fourniers.

If you want, I can check my setups later tonight.

But I love my Fournier WSOP's. Got them from Caragails, but I believe you can find them on Amazon through Trident cards.

Thanks cdnbeerlover. No worries. Have the fournier congress en route and will skip the prestige and go right to the wsop deck. But for now, I think I have enough decks. 😄

I've said that a few times. The number of decks and setups keep growing, though. I keep thinking I need to sell some, but I can't seem to decide which ones should go...

Another option for Fournier cards are the 2013 WSOP cards. Bridge size, regular index, but they are Bicycle-branded cards made by Fournier.

Caragails have them, and StraightPokerSupplies has them on eBay (not on their site yet) for us up here in the Great White North.

Just came back from Straight Poker Supplies. Went with a friend so he could purchase one of the neoprene table toppers. Went with the intention of buying one (1) set-up of the 2013 WSOP cards (got a deal . . . $25.00 all-in). Walked out with 2 set-ups of 2011 WSOP cards at $10.00 each and a Gemaco set-up that he could not find right away and so handed over for another $10.00.

WINNER !!!

Straight Poker Supplies is in Toronto and offers free shipping within Canada on orders over $65.00.

So . . . 2 x 29.99 + 2 x 24.95 + ZERO = 109.88 CAD

Were they Platinum Acetates? And . . . does that price include your shipping?

CaraGails is selling the 2013 WSOP cards for 24.95 per set-up (2 decks). Modiano PAs are 25.95 per set-up (2 decks).

Where did you get your prices from?

they were standard Modiano cards.. accetates are around $19 a set + shipping
Basic modiano 100% plastic sell for around $9 a set

2 sets of WSOP and 2 sets of modiano accetate is about $100CAD including shipping.

All the prices i have given include shipping
