Table finally finished and my Milano's arrived in tact. (picture below). Yes, I know, it has a racetrack. If I ever build another table, will have no racetrack and will include a raised rail.

So now I want to get new cards. Currently have Kem bridge regular cards.
Would like to try Modian Club cards (poker size jumbo index) after reading a thread here where Schmendr1ck gave it a thumbs up.

I cannot find them anywhere. Searched Apache, Caragails, and many of the links users have posted here. One place in Canada supposedly has them in stock but wanted to charge $30 shipping. Won two auctions on eBay for a set only to receive an email a few days later that they were out of stock. Modiano website also lists them as out of stock.

Have these been discontinued? what did Modiano replace them with?

Can you guys recommend a place to get them? or a comparable set from Modiano?

If no luck, may just get spend the extra dollars and get the Modiano Platinum Acetates.

Caragails appears to have them. At least, I can add them to the shopping cart. As far as shipping from Canada, that's probably accurate. It's $12 to ship within Canada, and to ship from the US to Canada is not cheap, either.

As far as alternatives, the acetates are poker size only. If you are looking for bridge size cards, they are not a suitable replacement. Another card that has been well received are the Fournier-made Congress cards. They show up on eBay from time to time. I have a setup, and they are very nice cards.

Note: Your table won't show up in the CT thread. Looks very nice. My table, however...

Where on the website were you able to add them? poker size jumbo index? I am looking at the caragails modiano page and all I see in stock are the bridge size large index.

Will start looking for some Fournier Congress cards.

Interesting, on caragails website, it says that the Da Vinci cards are made by Modiano. They also have a model called Club Casino which looks identical to the Modiano Poker Club design. But again, poker size large index sold out.

Yes, these are the ones I've used in the past. Hefty cards with an index that is bigger than standard (for the old blind farts at the table) but not nearly as big as jumbo.

I still like the Poker Clubs, but my card of choice these days is Desjgn Classic Victorian.

Saw a set of Fournier Congress on eBay. Bridge only. Thinking about pulling the trigger.

Use the Copags first, then the Desjgns, and then the Modianos. Good, better, BEST.

Modiano beehives are an excellent "bridge sized" card, if you like that size of deck.

Modianos are the best.... actually, I was looking for some of my other cards about a week ago to offer for a charity tournament and I couldn't even find them they've been unused for so long! That being said, I haven't tried the Desjgns yet although I've been meaning to... Ok, I'll order a few pairs (arm is twisted).

It depends how much you like thickness. Modiano's are very thick. I don't like thin cards, but Modiano's take it too far, imo.

There was a post I read somewhere, can't recall but will try and find.

Basically was a review for a deck of cards that said they were thickness wise, right in between modiano and copag/KEM, etc...

I have a bunch of cards that I rotate through. The Modiano Acetates, Fournier WSOP Breakouts, and Desjgn Classic Vics are my top 3, and if I could only have one setup, it would be the Fourniers. Beautiful cards.

Just my opinion, though. You've made some excellent choices.

Fournier are next on the list. I keep hearing great things about them.

I dont think I've used Modianos, but I do like the thickness of Gemaco cards.

Nothing is worse, thickness wise, than a deck of RFID cards... I got a hang nail on my pinky at HPI 2013 and it was a bitch and a half to deal all weekend at Pali's.

Would be awesome if they arrived today so I can use for my first hosted home game tonight. but the KEM's will be fine either way.

RFID cards? are those Royal cards? I've heard to stay away from those.
