Re: What's your scene like?

i want someone to post the most ghetto setup imaginable -- folding table, one unshaded lightbulb dangling pathetically from the ceiling, throwing the bare concrete walls into stark relief.

If the chairs are metal and folding as well it would be even better.

On a serious note, wow, plush as ****. Nice job, everyone, I'm just sad I can't play anywhere that nice.

Nice mural, though. How many armed guards do you have? Or do the drug dealers that play provide everything? :P

I should delete this on principle, but I'll let it go. No more of these allowed, however.

Re: What's your scene like?

Hi all,
Some unbelievable setups here.

My setup consists of a folding table, chips and electronic dealer button.

We play in my garage, although my garage is like being inside the house as the walls and ceiling are plastered and the floor is carpeted.

When the the weather is warm I usually setup under my car port.

Next time I have a home game I will take some pics and post them here.

Thanks for sharing all of your setups.

Cheers,

Re: What's your scene like?

First the table. My wife and I built it last year. Note that it is not the standard size. Our house doesn't have a room big enough for an 8x4 table so we built a 6.5 x 3.5 one. Couldn't get the wrinkles out of the vinyl the way some of you guys do, but happy otherwise. Fits nicely and holds 7 comfortably, 8 or 9 in a pinch. 1999 American Standard Jazz Bass in the background if any music guys are curious.

Chips- Paulson Pharoah's. I'm not creative enough to come up with a custom design, and I think these are some of the best looking and best feeling chips out there.

My wife and I found this table at Kay's Merchandise on our honeymoon. Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps. And of course the dartboard. Nice motif I think.

Re: What's your scene like?

Nice stuff (I also see the PS3 box!), but why the dealer cut out?

Re: What's your scene like?

zone- Because the dealer cutout is cool. When we play we rotate dealer from week to week and it is just easier to shuffle cards and deal without the rail, plus it places the dealer in the center of the table, making it easier to chop pots and deal to everyone. Leaving out the dealer spot would only add one more seat and would make dealing much more of a hassle. Plus I think it looks cool and I wanted to try to build a table with a dealer cutout. We play a lot of stud games and split pot stuff so it really is handy to have it.

Find- thanks. Mine came with the white pick guard but I got the tortoise shell because I wanted to look like John Paul Jones.
