Update on 2015 Naperville Poker Game Bust Update on 2015 Naperville Poker Game Bust

Some of you may remember a game that was busted in late 2015. $25k seized, 13 people charged, 3 with coke, seized a lambo and other shiny cars. The game had been operating in a strip mall after hours and neighbors complained. Original thread here:

Turns out that with drugs, pretty high stakes game, vehicle seizures, etc., nobody does jail time and it's a bunch of misdeamor charges:

Interestingly, this appears to have been an unraked game. It looks as though you can do a lot of dumb **** (annoy neighbors, attract attention, have cocaine) simultaneously and worst case scenario is a slap on the wrist.

Obviously worse for the guys who had their cars seized, but otherwise NBD as far as law enforcement is concerned.

Thanks for the update. Government acting as nanny, with the added incentive of asset forfeiture. Totally ****ed up.

Likely somebody also neglected or ignored the " Protection Expenditure" that keeps underground games free from "supervision"! Also might have been in comp with more established local games. The whole truth can never be known , nor is it that important anyway.
