Final update:

A lot has happened in a few months. The rake is now $5 max including the jackpot bonus rakes, there are rocks at both games which obv help them hit max rake more often, they try to run blackjack games at the end of the night too which people stupidly play, and it's pretty much all gone to hell. They can hardly get a game to run for more than a few hours.

The hosts have now split off from their partnership, as one host wanted to keep all the profit from running blackjack at his particular location, and got in a huge fight over it at a bar while playing each other in a beer pong tournament. A lot of players were involved, and even a gun was shot in the air. Cannot make this **** up. Some players immediately didn't come back after this incident.

When one host broke off from the other, he claimed how much better his game was gonna be since Host 2 was a "cheap bastard" and splitting profits made it tough. Host 1 has since been just as bad as Host 2 at running the game. It's pretty lol.

IMO, they're both ****ing clueless and ran their game in to the ground and it was easy to see from miles away. People have mostly left for other games, while others are focused on school and other things.

As for me, I'm moving to Norfolk, VA for work and with my longtime girlfriend who is stationed there. (She's in the Navy) I will have to find games in the Hampton Roads area, along with frequent trips to Maryland Live! Casino. The reason I mention all of that is because I will no longer be playing in these games. Both of these guys used to be what I considered friends, and now, couldn't really care less. This is what happens when you not only run a business off of your friends, but be super greedy and cheap about it. You all nailed it on the head 100%.

Man, what madness. I've been advocating that you get away from this game since the beginning, but after this update, no question. It's probably best for everyone that it broke up (and inevitable, to boot). These guys can go find a way to make a more honest living than greedily taking advantage of their friends.

I can't imagine ever coming around these guys again—for poker or anything else—after one of them fired a gun in the air over an argument about money and gambling. That's a level of hot-headed and dangerous that I'm not comfortable being near.

It's funny how most of these "Should I play in this underground game?" threads inevitably lead to a resounding "NO!" because of unbeatable rake, over-raking, security issues, cheating, etc.
