I just wanted to share some photos of some poker tables I've made this last year. There more but these are my favorites

Thanks guys. The rectangular modern style base is very popular lately. More than half of the tables I sell have that style of base in the last few months.

That dining table cover is solid oak with a dark walnut stain. I think the lighting in my warehouse makes it look lighter stain than it actually is, but either way it's a nice looking stain. It's quite large too, a little over 8' long.

I like the rectangular base. The table I bought has a pedestal base with a foot rail I like the rail and it's popular with my group but the pedestals take up a lot of space.

How do players in the middle seats react to the rectangular bases on the first couple of tables? I always was nervous that a player in the middle seats would not be able to stretch their legs occasionally.

I haven't heard any complaints. It's not a very wide base, usually about 8" wide which is the same width as round columns. The base plate is added for stabilization so that it isn't tippy, so there's plenty of leg space between the edge of the poker table and the column.

What kind of heavy-duty drawer glides did you use for the chip drawer? That thing has to weigh a ton when it's full of chips.

how much do you typically charge for these roughly?

I'm not sure what type of drawer slides they are, I picked them up at my specialty lumber supplier. They're rated for 100lbs.

The "Super" table has a huge base for sure. They got 10" pedestals which are overkill for an oval table, and added an extra 1/4" to the base sheet making it 1" thick. It's a Goliath of a table.

Another table to add to the list. I built this as a demo model for a Home & Garden show in my area and now it's collecting dust (literally) in my workshop.

42"x92" oval, black genuine leather rail, 3/4" raised rail with decorative nails and stained ebony, oak pedestal columns with engraved stretcher all dyed black with semi-gloss polyurethane. And of course a custom printed gaming suede cloth of my own design.

I really like the design on that felt!

Just delivered this one to Boulder, CO last week to a 2+2 member. He also got 5 rolling drink carts but they're not assembled yet.

Still keeping busy. Just thought I'd share a few more tables I've built.

You may want to consider some models that aren't quite so masculine. The married dudes are more likely to have money for a dining/poker table but need to get buy-in. My wife and I ended up going with a custom pedestal table (they didn't do poker ones :/), and we looked at several poker tables with dining tops but the refrain I got back was "Too man'ish." Check out what some of the major retailers are putting out and consider poker versions of them.

I may still want you to make me a folding or take-apart topper though

Thanks for the feedback ChicagoTroy. I have that in mind, I am working on a showroom display model with a much more modern style base that's less bulky. My current modern style base is very popular.

I'll duplicate nearly any type of table base, I just need someone to show me a photo as a reference and then I can make a similar looking base for the poker table.

That's too bad Parsons, not much we can do about the location. Shipping to the UK can be expensive. I shipped a poker table to Switzerland last year which was around $500 plus VAT.

One question, on the hex and octo table you put the cup holder in the sides instead of the corners. Any particular reason? First judgement would say that sitting on the sides of the table is more logical and than you'd have your drink right in your arm movement space? But have never played at a octogonal table before, although I think most commericialy available ones have cup holders in the corners, so I'm not sure.

In my experience, having cup holders in front of a player is better. If the cup holders are off to the sides, they're more likely to get bumped by elbows. I put cup holders wherever anyone wants, I just default to have them in the center.
