Ah, ok.
FWIW, this is one of the reasons why it's a better idea to deal three flat down first. The extra time it takes is enough to prevent exactly this problem.
I had one player in my game who refused to do three down and instead just grabbed and flipped. I asked him to do it my way and gave my reasons and he insisted that his way was fine and didn't cause problems.
TWICE within an HOUR he had errors with flops. And I think one of them may have been a false flop as you had, because I know I've run into that before, but this was years ago so I only remember that it caused issues twice, not the specifics. Maybe one was a 4-card flop or something. And even after I said, "See? This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid," he didn't believe me, and insisted that his method never caused problems.
