Offered to show one of my cards, they look at both, what to do?
This has happened to me a couple times in home games over the years.
I bet. Everyone folds. I offer to show one card and let them pick which one. Player (both times it was not someone involved in the action) reaches over and flips both cards over one quickly right after the other.
Everyone laughs and no one says anything.
I am tilted.
So now I don't do that any more.
But seriously, why is that ok I guess to everybody on the planet except me, but it's not ok to reach over and do that to someone who doesn't say anything?
And what would you do if you were the dealer, working for tips, at a table that unanimously thought it was just awesome that that happened? Be honest.

KITN for one. Second since it my game I don't see people doing it to the host. In your situation I would definitely say something to the dealer about it and possibly the host although I'm gathering this is a raked game? Either way pretty douche home thing to do. If your going to show one card from now on just pick one and muck the other. Perhaps they don't understand the show one, show all rule?
Oh also I think you answered your first question with the second. Really sounds like the dealer doesn't have control of the table.

Stop being a douche show your cards or don;t .... but no reason to play these stupid games.
NOW IF YOU INSIST ON WASTING PEOPLES TIME BY DOING THIS HOLD YOUR DAMN CARDS IN YOUR HAND AND TURN IT OVER YOURSELF.
if you toss your cards out there and invite people to look ....what was the dealer supposed to do?

The correct response is to do as Dikembe Mutombo proclaiming "not in my house" with finger wave and all.

based on two threads...
Villain Bets
Starrazz calls with the near-nuts
Starrazz stares at Villain
Table waits for showdown
Starrazz says, "Fine, I'll show first. Pick a card you want me to flip over first."

Given more time to think about it, I wouldn t ask the dealer to turn one, I Would show one myself to the table as I muck

My favorite thing to do is when someone says "pick a card" and slides their 2 cards out, I immediately grab both cards and shuffle them into the muck. F*** your shenanigans.

Re: Offered to show one of my cards, they look at both, what to do?
At one of the raked cash games I go to, with two of us left on the river. Other player checks, I bet , he folds and throws his cards forward, just over the betting lineay, I start t muck by sliding my cards forward. Other player pushes his cards towards the muck which really looks like he is helping the dealer. His cards get undermine and flips one over. I know he did it on purpose but I didn t say anything because I should of passed the cards towards the dealer. I usually do this but the pot was sort of in the way. I was in seat 3, other player in seat 5.
