The key, if you're planning on playing there regularly, is to not been seen as the jerk there.
but no, you didn't seem like a jerk here.

Re: No Cashing Out in Cash Games?
In my group, it's all friends who have known each other years. Mostly it's viewed as a fun social gathering to drink and smoke, but me and one other guy take it serious and are probably viewed as the top guns, badge of honor to beat us. We will probably play for 7, 8 hours if given the chance and have done so a few times. I personally think it's poor etiquette to win a huge pot on a suckout and mysteriously have to go, but every time it happens it's one of our weaker players and I agree that ultimately it's good to give the fish confidence here and there. It's not like the behavior will get the person uninvited from the game, the friendships are too tight, but ball busting is good to make them want to play deep with the big boys where they ultimately just distribute the money back.

I hope the word retarded didn't offend you, but I have this one friend who will raise five times the big blind regardless of his hand to be "unpredictable", and coming over the top with pretty much everything. I tend to make a lot of money, but we play for fun and this makes it no fun.

Re: No Cashing Out in Cash Games?
I got really annoyed yesterday as myself and a few work friends were playing a cash game, the two worst players won a big pot each and then decided to cashout their buyout and continue to play with their profit... I argued but nobody else seemed bothered by it, I was confused, especially considering it was towards the start of the night, I don't know why the host allowed it to happen.

Some folks just don't get it. You can talk to the host before the next game to see if he will allow it again (over your objections). Then decide if you are willing to play if he does.
Since they were the worst, and they went south early in the night, what happened when they lost their profits? Rebuy or quit?

I can t blame for being upset, I would be aswell. I might of cashed out at the sametime and left. Was this a weekly game or were you guys just sitting around and decide to have a game? If its a weekly game, explain it to the host why he shouldn t cash people out.

I usually find the guys that go south like that are the ones that quit the game
early to lock in the profits

Well one of them cashed out his buyin as well as £5 profit, when he lost his remaining stack he had to leave because he 'had work early in the morning' and the other guy bought back in for half the original amount.

It's not really a usual thing, only played with half of these once/twice before. There's usually a game once every other month. Don't think I'll be going to any future games with that lot though.
