I play in a bar league. Often after the main game a cash game will start.

As part of the dealers choice part of the game we've started playing a game called 6 Card Badugi Draw which I thought I'd share with you. Its very new so might still need a bit of flushing out but here is the basic idea.

The aim of the game is to win both the high and Badugi pots. Players are dealt 6 cards and the game is triple draw. Pots are split in the same way as O/8. A player must have a Badugi to qualify for the Badugi half of the pot, otherwise the entire pot goes to the Highest 5 card Hand.

I'm thinking it might be an idea to introduce a rule that says if all players at Showdown have a Badugi one must have a qualifying high - any pair or better - to claim the High pot, otherwise it is a scoop to the best Badugi.

Wondering if you guys can think of any improvements to this game - its a lot of fun and gets good action.

6-cards? I'd say 5-max playing this game, maybe 6 in a tight game, no?
