Recently a player introduced this to our game, i wonder what you guys think of it:

When you're on the button you have to put 2bb on the button. If you don't win the hand the next player on the button adds another 2bb and so on. Only the player on the button can win whatever currently is on the button.

We played this at a short-handed 2/5 last week and it made for great action, especially when the "button-pot" gets bigger.

It makes the game play bigger, because most people open raise bigger depending on whats in this pot even if they arent on the button and cant win it. Maybe thats just because it was shorthanded and people tried to prevent the players before them to win it to improve the pot for their own button.
