Getting the cloth lined up straight was paramount so we used the light hazing method. Lay cloth straight on surface and get lined up. Double check it. Lay something heavy in middle to keep cloth from moving. Fold up half of the cloth and spray playing surface with adhesive. Spray "light haze" of adhesive or spray glue...3m or loc-tite is best for us. Then lay cloth back down over glue and use hands to smooth out cloth....don't even have to press hard. Just get it smooth. Once glue sets then we set surface up on its side and pull cloth over edge and start stapling but it's the light haze method that ultimately keeps it smooth....staples are really a backup anchor. Google light hazing method for poker tables and you'll see plenty of info, probably at scottkeen.com which is a good site for building poker tables.
I want one! One of the best I have seen. What would you say total dollar cost was once complete? WIthout the artwork? How many hours in total to complete? Really great build and fun watching the progress!
