i'm a reg at the 1/2 and an old reg at the 10/20 here...the main reason i made the switch is that the 10/20 dried up; yes, it still gets a decent amount of $ on the table, but it's the same group of 8-9 guys that play every single day at the main game...i RARELY see them play any other game than ABC poker.
HOWEVER, the 1/2 player pool is filled to the brim with dead money any day of the week and will have multiple tables running until close, whereas the 10/20 consolidates to just one table usually around midnight with no waiting list.
i hate to say it, being a limit guy myself, but that game is wayyy dead...there's such easy money at the 1/2 it's disgusting. was just there on friday and can whole-heartedly confirm...totally forgot to take a pic for the CHIPSTACK thread, but it was definitely worthy!

Interesting. I've always noticed the same guys in the game at the 10/20 and their play is so exploitable. Only played the 1/2 while waiting for the 10/20 perhaps I should make the switch over....

Wow, and I thought Florida rake of 10% up to $5+$2 was bad.

i mean, it still is, but the thing is that you need a solid run of cards to do well in that game. if you're card dead, good luck showing any sort of profit. everyone there is unbluffable and will call down with any piece of the board and alot of the times, only ace high. so if you're on a heater, you'll crush. value betting TPTK the whole way will even get you there most of the time haha!
i just prefer the 1/2 game there nowadays because it's where the money is at. people reload like it grows on trees and stack off with TPNK every hand. it really took some getting used to how averse to money some of these people really were, but once you figure it out, you can really rake in some profits. just my experience though...

Another OP update (added Morph3us to Sat night). Let me know if I need to make any additional updates to the attendance lists.

I have some family super close to where you are at jzpiano and was already planning on visiting this summer, which would have made this Home Poker Invitational an awesome coincidence. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll be in town the first week of June and not mid-July.
I'll most likely get in touch with you closer to that time, but if I'm welcome I'd love to play with your regs at the game you hold on the first Saturday of the month.

For sure. That will be our NL holdem game which is always full and a lot of fun. Just let me know ahead of time and ill get you a seat. Over the summer I usually run more games as I'm off of work so if your in town for a while I might have another game in there too.

I officially sent out an invite to our Top Pair Podcast hosts Eric and Bruce to see if they could make it to the event for the ultimate home game.

Me too. I also threw out the idea of doing a episode on scene. Not sure if its feasible, but would be pretty cool.

At a minimum, I'm sure a G+ Hangout could provide a video-conference interview.

One of the compelling features of Google Plus is that they offer "Hangouts." Hangouts are, essentially, open video conferences. ...open to whomever you invite, anyway.
Think of it as Skype video conferencing, except you can integrate it with Google's social network and their Voice service.
From a practical standpoint, you could easily invite only the Top Pair guys a la Skype, and then at some point you could easily add anyone else who wanted to be there but wasn't -- open the floor to questions, etc.
It was good enough for the POTUS.

Interesting...if the Top Pair guys want to do that if that can't make it out that would be fine with me. If not maybe we could set up something anyways if you wanted want to help with that Pali
