Annoying? No, it is the natural order of the universe, my friend.

Does not compute and not in my nature. I hate that and always strive to change things so it is only natural I push back so yeah not happy about that.
I will say as much as I hate the CT forum setup/platform the one feature I like is they allow editing on your post forever.

I had to go to page 2 to find this thread and decided to sticky it. If anybody objects, let me know.

Looking forward to it. I'll probably be making my flight arrangements in the March timeframe.
Hoping to arrange so that I can also commit to either Thur or Sun (or, best of all worlds, both). But I gotta see how my post-Navy job prospects shake out.
No offense, but Mrs Hoss is probably happiest with "um...sorry dudes, work is just too busy, can't make it" outcome. While I'd be bummed out, I have to admit she's got a point...

Will be ordering 44mm hundos from ASM. I expect you all to help me get them in play. Bets on who tosses the first one in a pot?

Re: July 19-21, 2012 HPI - Aurora, IL
I just saw this thread and the game looks awesome but it's kinda bad timing for me. The baby's due the end of June so at the time of the game she'll only be 4 weeks old roughly. Fortunately for me I have a pretty cool wife.
Put me down for saturday night, ( playing all day is pushing it lol ). If I play any other day it will likely be thursday evening so my wife can take a break on friday. Still though I can't commit to it at this point. It depends on work too. If things are slow and I have thursday and friday off I may be able to play both saturday and friday ( evening ). I won't really know til the week of.

No worries. I figure there will be others like that as well. I'll be sending out an email to the local guys to keep Thursday, Saturday, Sunday open, but probably won't start getting RSVPs for them until that month.
Hopefully the local guys can help out with another table or two and chairs either way.

For those looking to play 10/20 at the Hollywood casino in Aurora, its a fish filled game, 5 to 6 seeing the flop regularly. I confirmed it yesterday

How's the 1/2 and 2/5 NL? Pretty typical?

All 1/2. Five players limped regularly the three hours I played on Saturday.
Player donked all in into me on KxxT board. I hold AKs with nfd, chuckle, and call. River is a non flush J, he rolls KJ.
Hopefully that answers your concerns
I wouldn't go to Hollywood for 1/2, their rake is ten percent up to $8. Check out harrahs instead (although I don't know if the rake is any better).

The rake at the 1/2NL game blows if your going to play there stick to the 10/20 half kill game. The players suck and the rake is only $6+1 as opposed to the NL game that is $8+1. It plays like the old party poker full ring tables. High variance, but highly profitable.
