There are other threads where this is discussed at length, but the general answer is that you get what you pay for.
Custom clay chips can easily cost $2+ per chip. Custom ceramics can be had for less than a dollar.
Vintage casino chips range from less than a buck to over five dollars per chip.
Paulson home market chips have become hot and command prices well over $2/chip.
Midrange chips can be found for less, but I strongly recommend you get samples to help avoid being disappointed.
For that matter - samples are always wise if you aren't familiar with the chips.
For my money, the best buy is vintage casino chips. And as always, I can't post in a thread like this without some chip pron
