I'm trying to buy some chips but I don't live in the US and most of these sites don't have international shipping
Actually, one of them lets me choose my country but not my state, they only give american states as options. I'd like to know if there's an option for us foreigners.

I checked a few sites. You don't mention what chips you were specifically looking for, so I checked a small range.

Variety of styles: BuyPokerDirect
- allows Brazil as a country
- state is manually entered.

Claysmith chips (Milano / Desert Heat / Bluff Canyon) : Claysmith Gaming
- allows Brazil as a country
- state appears as a drop down. Seems accurate, at least to my eyes.

Sunfly Ceramics : BR Pro Poker
- allows Brazil as a country
- state appears as a drop down. Seems accurate, at least to my eyes.

For other sites, it might be best to contact the vendor to see if they ship to you.

Honestly, I didn't have a specific set in mind. I don't have a poker chips set yet so I'm looking for a nice, relatively cheap one to play some home games.

Thanks for the links!

Recently purchased the Milano chips from clay smith. Very pleased with them.

But regardless of the error, they were very helpful and sent the replacements right away.
Jimulacrum, the other chips you ordered, I'm assuming they're slugged? At 13.5g, I figure it's a reasonable assumption, but I wanted to check. I'm considering upgrading my tournament set, but I may just wait until I get my custom set done and then buy Milanos for my tournament set.

We bought ours from TCS John Huxley. Well..from a busted up illegal room for pretty cheap. Chips feel great but are a little slippery at first.

I've never seen this first hand, but the images look sort of cartoony, like a drawing of a chip. I suggest you get a few samples first.

Lots of good info in this thread. I've been looking for a new and ultimately unique set since moving into my first house

I just ordered 3x sample sets of these:

I'm a big fan of ceramic chips after playing in a few tourneys which used them. There's just something nice about the way they feel and how easily they stack.

Anyone own a ceramic set? I've also been considering Nevada Jacks but I don't care for the design as much as the Tiki Kings and they are a bit more expensive.

The Tikis get good reviews. I'm not a ceramic chip guy myself, but the "Scroll" set is also worth looking into if you want a design that isn't quite as busy as the Nevada Jack.

I like ceramics a lot. I have a somewhat rare set of Chipco ceramics.

The Tikis look pretty good, but I'd want to see them in hand.

I'm not a fan of the Nevada Jacks. I believe they are just colored blanks with a transparent, textured, vinyl sticker stuck on either side. Good ceramics should be printed on the chip.

I have two vintage casino ceramic sets. One from the Hard Rock and the other from PJ Pockets in Washington. I like them both. One of my wish list sets is a ceramic fantasy set - nine dragons. Maybe sooner than later?

Ceramic chips are different from Paulson, TRK or Bud Jones. Get samples first because the people who don't like them can have strong opinions. It would be a shame to spend a chunk of money for chips you hate.

Following up here - I ended up unsure about the Tiki Kings set at first so I ordered a sample set of Majestic's from apachepokerchips.com. I liked the style, but not the feel of the Majestics, they just felt a bit too cheap to me, even though they are very similar to a casino style chip.

The more I compared both, the more pleased I was with the Tiki Kings from brpropoker.com so I ordered a set of 580 chips:

160 x $25
160 x $100
100 x $500
100 x $1000
60 x $5000 (customized the blue chip)

I plan to use these for tournaments obviously. I may still buy a set of Majestic's to use solely for cash games.

I bought some of these and did an unboxing video with my friends on our youtube channel if anyone is interested in seeing more about them. Our audience is not poker savvy, so fast forward to 5:00 if you're just interested in the chips.

Thanks for sharing this. I hope you share a video on the cleaning process, and how they look afterwards.

What was your rationale for the different denoms and quantities you bought? Do you plan to use all of them in your game?

For home games, I recommend Milanos for a large variety of reasons.

They look excellent once oiled properly as well.

Not a fan of ceramics at all. Too use to playing with Paulsons TC.

If you go to Oiling Chips Done Right - Featuring Milanos!, you'll find my tutorial on Poker Chip Oiling Done Right in the chip maintenance section. You can see the quality of the Milanos shining there.

I also enjoy most that Milanos are one of the only clay chips which adhere their stickers uniformly with the chip patterns rather than randomly. Helps my OCD.
