This is the only part of the plan I don't like. That guy tilts me so f-ing hard.
Well I'd only play if he played at my stakes. I'd happily lose a buy-in or two to him to have the story. And if I won I'd definitely have some of his best lines ready to throw in his face, though I doubt it would bother him much if I took $40 off him and said "I'm going to take everyfing you have!"

Okay, that I can go along with. I'd love to win $25 off the guy and rub it in his face all night like I'd taken enough from him to pay off my mortgage.
Love the idea and best of luck to you! If this becomes a reality, let me know and I'll save you a seat and make sure you have a place to shower and rest.
1. Plan the trip for September/October, so there is minimal risk of temperatures above 90F or snow.
2. I suggest keeping close to US 20 for the beginning of your trip, perhaps until you get to Illinois. You are welcome at my low-stakes mixed cash game east of Cleveland.
3. Reconsider the family in the RV if at all possible. Your family will easily take up half of your time and attention. And, it just doesn't seem to fit in with the spirit or romanticism of the trip. If I'm reading your book, that aspect really takes away from the adventure.

In theory I'm with you. In practice, this trip (or my marriage) doesn't happen if I leave my wife with three young kids for a month and a half.
Well I think you actually are a bit crazy for considering this trip, BUT that certainly doesn't make it a totally BAD idea either. What kind of games and stakes are you considering anyway? I would invite you to ours after I had read several reviews of you at other games from some of the usual suspects on this forum. This is a kinda interesting concept
You are more than welcome to play in our game just southeast of Cleveland... It sounds like there is another Clevelander on here. I'm wondering if it would make sense to go from one metro to another over different weekends. For example, see if there are two in Rochester for the weekend.... then find a game for Buffalo or Pittsburgh for the next weekend... then Cleveland the next... etc. etc. You would have to get players from adjacent metros (Columbus, Detriot, whatever to come to a game when you were close to each Metro. There's enough people from Cleveland on there that you could play in a different game ever night for a week, but you wouldn't get too many miles....
