Hosting a home tournament, need advice on structure

Hey everyone, first post in the home poker forum, long time lurker. My friend is hosting a tournament in a few days and it's my job to figure out the structure and be the TD. Here is the structure I wrote up...

Poker Blinds $10 NLHE

T200 starting stack / 15 min levels
Unlimited Rebuys until the end of level 8
One Optional addon of T400 for $5 at the end of level 8

Small Blind/Big Blind/Ante

1. 1/1
2. 1/2
3. 2/4
4. 3/6
Break 10 min
5. 5/10/1
6. 8/16/1
7. 10/20/5
8. 15/30/5
Break 15 min / end of rebuys / optional T400 addon for $5 / color up T1 chips
9. 25/50/5
10. 40/80/10
11. 50/100/10
12. 100/200/25
Break 5 min color up T5 chips
13. 150/300/25
14. 200/400/50
15. 300/600/50

I am looking for this tournament to last 3-3.5hrs and I am expecting 15-25 players total.

A couple of questions...

Is the rebuy period too long?

Is is possible to run a smooth self delt game with antes?

Is the addon a good idea or not?

Thanks!

This tournament looks like it'll last way longer than 3-3.5 hours, especially with a super-long-two-hour-rebuy-period.

Yes. An hour is pretty standard for rebuys.

It depends on how good your players are. If they're veterans, no problem. If they're poker noobs, big problem.

I believe that if you have a rebuy, you should have an addon.

Thanks!
However, your stacks look really deep. I'd cut the starting stacks to T100 and the addon could be T200. You should still get a good amount of play with your structure within the rebuy period.

Side-note: Minor structure change suggestion.

Level 6 would be better at 7/14/2.
Level 7 would be better at 10/20/3.
Level 8 would be better at 15/30/4.

Level 11 would be better at 50/100/15.

The antes can go up with the blinds.

Try Blind Valet.

I wish I had known about this years ago.
