Re: Home Poker forum Pokerstars league -- season 4: the search for HP Rungoot

I've spent the last two weeks in the damn Chinese desert. I need to make the next game just for a change of locale.

check your map again. I have you just north of New Guinea, in the direction of Palau.

Saw a few nice locations this week. ClevelandWasp is new to the map, and landed in the Mediterranean, basically on Cyprus.

Yes, please play again. Your location is prime to land somewhere interesting next.

Next week's HOSE game is set up.

Welcome to the land of grass skirts and lots of vowels, choach! Congrats on earning a ticket to the goat championship, as well.

Meanwhile bhara99 is smoking hot while moving ever closer to the south pole, and earning a seat at the TOC.

Pocket_Keith interrupted PDX_racer's run at sweeping the 1st-out honors. We'll save a seat at the championships for you.
I am late with my entry -- After week three I landed about 125 miles WSW off the coast of Nuku Hiva, part of the Marquesas Islands in the French Polynesian.

Thankfully, I was well off the coast as I had heard rumors about the dangers of running into the locals, who prefer their poker players over easy...

So here I sit, comfortable and adjusting nicely to my new place in the sun, far, far away from the cold tundra of... well, Tundra, since I was officially nowhere through Weeks 1 and 2.

.... aaaaand we're back up North. At least this time I'm on "land". Or at least below the frozen surface is land. For the sake of google, I'm going to hike a bit west to the town of Molanosa, Saskatchwean and take in the sights of Montreal Lake.... This is what it looks like at it's finest hour.

This is what it looks like now.

le sigh...

I'm going to be AOL in the league quite a bit, as our regular game is moving to Mondays quite often, to accommodate some of the players' schedules.

Somehow I have drifted ESE and am no closer to land. The two closest bits of "land" are just small hunks of rock.

750 miles to the southeast, Isla San Felix

And 750 to the southwest, Isla Sala y Gomez

Maybe with some luck I can bypass Sala y Gomez and go a little further west to Isla de Pascua where at least there will be a welcoming committee

Another good game! I think almost everyone lasted at least an hour. It was carnage after that, of course.

One new player this week, Hoss1193, who elected to start on the beach in Rio (rather than play any of his hands, afaik).

MariettaBull was first out, joining the players eligible for the aggrodonk final. Bubbling honors went to ClevelandWasp, congratulations. Your humble author wasted the tournament by taking first place again, despite already having a seat at the luckbox championship. At least that keeps a good player from getting a seat.
